Ian and Lorraine couldn't be more welcoming! They made a huge fuss of our little boy and were very accommodating with things he needed. There is a small fridge in the guest living room so we could store milk and snacks for him safely. The guest living room was a lovely bonus as once Beau was asleep we could sit... More

We were in the area for the Dalston Horse Trials. This was a great place to stay overnight. Our room was beautiful! Immaculately clean and so well appointed. I couldn't fault it! We were disappointed that we couldn't have dinner that night as the chef was off duty. Probably our fault that we hadn't shown interest in dinner at the... More

Beautiful house and accommodation. Rooms immaculate and decorated to a really high spec. Very nice hosts, and a delicious breakfast. A bit in the middle of nowhere so a car is a must to get you to the nearest pub for dinner.

What a lovely place, cosy and comfortable room. immaculately clean and well presented. A good place to explore the lakes. The breakfast was the best ever, quality produce. If you could find fault it would be that their were only one cup of coffee each which needed to last over two days. Also one little shower gel to last both... More

Stayed at Fiddleback Farm on the way to Glasgow on Friday night and had a really relaxing evening. The guest room was amazing - beautiful beamed ceiling mixed with exposed brick and really tasteful décor. Not to mention perhaps the most comfortable bed I have stayed in ANYWHERE! The charm of the owners makes you completely relaxed as if you... More

We booked Fiddleback farm off the internet, as we were looking for somewhere close to Dalston Hall where we were attending a wedding evening do. Having passed the place countless times wondering what a 'round' house would be like inside, we can say, stunning! Ian and Lorraine, the owners, are a wonderful couple, who made us extremely welcome from the... More
