Lovely little place, nice bar upstairs where you go first for a drink and place your order. It's done out really nice and even the toilets have all the supplies you need, deodorant perfume etc thought that was s nice touch. The food is gorgeous and you get plenty. I had the largest prawn cocktail I've ever had followed by... More

We visited The Georgian House on Saturday (with relatives from Yorkshire the first time they had visited the area) having booked a table for 8pm we arrived around 7.45. The bar was extremely busy with one person serving drinks in between taking orders and seating people. Eventually we got a drink and helped ourselves to a menu as it became... More

This is a lovely little hotel, everything is clean, the bedroom fun titre is of good quality. The bed was slightly too big for the room, so a bit of a squeeze getting around it, but very comfortable. The bathroom was quite large, nicely decorated. The hose attachment on the shower head is leaking (room 2) , will report this... More

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Room 5 was fabulous, modern furnishings and a lovely thick carpet that you sank into as you walked. Slippers and dressing gowns provided and a foot spa..... Gorgeous on suite bathroom beige tiles from floor to ceiling over the bath shower. A mirror over the sink with soft coloured changing lights. Stephanie the... More

Great B&B in Whitehaven - host, rooms exceeded expectations. Good sized room and bathroom - finished to very high standard - lovely additional extras - Elemis amenities and things like crisps and bottled water. Bar had fever tree tonic - big tick - gin mixed London style massive tick. Food wonderful - great flavours, choice and combos for B&B -... More

Cannot fault anything, room was fabulous, friendly and attentive staff, also assisted with information on parking. Plate of delicious nibbles delivered to room when we returned early evening. The only problem was that we had arranged to meet friends at another restaurant, we called into to bar for a drink before going out and it's obviously a popular restaurant, will... More

We went on the off chance they had a table. Able to have a drink and choose meal beforehand in the bar. That was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and attentive but not pushy. Menu good and varied. Chicken with sitlton was lovely, good selection of wines. Reasonably priced.

We had a lovely meal here at the Georgian house hotel tonight. The staff made a fuss of our 4 year old daughter making her food that wasn't offered on the menu, we all had a lovely evening and the food was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back soon!
