Hubby & I stayed next door at the Cornerhouse B&B, however when we checked in we wanted a quite drink after such a long journey & our host advised on the Chase Hotel as it was advertised as being open to non-residents. We walked next door and had such a warm welcome from the staff when asking for drinks. Becca... More

We had an enjoyable experience here - and especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff (we arrived late at night to check in after a delayed train journey) and the cooked breakfast quality. Our room was comfortable - although obviously a little worn and tired - but the price reflected that - so an overall reasonable (average) value for money... More

I am sorry to have to write this review but it's a must as I don't want people to waste their money. Yes the hotel is cental but that's all its got going for it. Reception area, well not inviting and not welcoming, felt like it was a hassle for the guy to come and check us in. The room,all... More

We visited the Chase Hotel with friends, 5 couples in all. We found the hotel to be of reasonable quality with a very good breakfast. I would recommend this hotel especially if you plan to tour North West of England Staff very helpful and friendly, however being a Scotsman I found the bar prices expensive especially as England does smaller... Bed was comfortable, and (apart from a few stray hairs) room was clean. But shower was cold, and staff didn't seem particularly bothered about this. Food was warm, edible and reasonably priced, but underwhelming.

The hotel itself was a little outdated but reasonably comfortable. The staff were excellent and very helpful but the breakfast was somewhat dried out after being kept under heat lamps. We did however have an excellent dinner on their sunny terrace and were well looked after by all.

After my last stay here i vowed never to stay again, however after a mix up i was booked in here, and i am so glad i was. From checking in to checking out the entire experience was brilliant, check in was lightening quick but still given all the relevant information, meal times, check out, where my room was etc,... A really pleasant place to stay the staff are wonderfully helpful the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. It is in a very quiet location a little way out of Whitehaven in a leafy suburb. We booked the evening meal and the food was substantial. Spot on!

We stayed at The Chase for 1 night. The staff were lovely & very helpful. The rooms were clean & the bed was comfy. I had a full English breakfast the morning after which amazing. The best I've had in a very long time. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for the weekend, found the hotel clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast excellent. It's within easy walking distance of the town centre, the marina and shops.
