We had a vey comfortable short break at The Chase Hotel, and staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The room was very clean and quite spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very clean and tidy decor. The breakfast was lovely and served on a warm plate as was our evening meal which was excellent.... More

Often go to the chase for Sunday lunch and it is always gorgeous food. Last time we went tho there was no mash just new potatoes which i don't like, should always have mash on a Sunday dinner, there wasn't any starters on that the kids would eat either. Would be ideal if there was a kids menu and always... More

Stayed August 1st 2016 in double room. Me and my wife chose this hotel because we were informed by them about their secure cycle storage - this turned out to be an uncovered alleyway behind the kitchen area. This area was only secured overnight and left open throughout the day, luckily we found a drain pipe to secure our cycles... More

Stayed the night before we set of on our ride. The hotel is a quick walk into town so the location is brill. The rooms are a little dated but perfectly clean and served us well for what we needed. Loverly breakfast in the morning to set us up nicely for the day. Big thanks to all the staff who... More

We stayed at the Chase Hotel at the start of our Coast to Coast bike ride and were really pleased with it. The staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. Rooms and facilities are a little tired, but they were very clean and the service more than made up for it!

Hubby & I stayed next door at the Cornerhouse B&B, however when we checked in we wanted a quite drink after such a long journey & our host advised on the Chase Hotel as it was advertised as being open to non-residents. We walked next door and had such a warm welcome from the staff when asking for drinks. Becca... More

We had an enjoyable experience here - and especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff (we arrived late at night to check in after a delayed train journey) and the cooked breakfast quality. Our room was comfortable - although obviously a little worn and tired - but the price reflected that - so an overall reasonable (average) value for money... More

I am sorry to have to write this review but it's a must as I don't want people to waste their money. Yes the hotel is cental but that's all its got going for it. Reception area, well not inviting and not welcoming, felt like it was a hassle for the guy to come and check us in. The room,all... More

We visited the Chase Hotel with friends, 5 couples in all. We found the hotel to be of reasonable quality with a very good breakfast. I would recommend this hotel especially if you plan to tour North West of England Staff very helpful and friendly, however being a Scotsman I found the bar prices expensive especially as England does smaller... Bed was comfortable, and (apart from a few stray hairs) room was clean. But shower was cold, and staff didn't seem particularly bothered about this. Food was warm, edible and reasonably priced, but underwhelming.
