Have visited here a number of times now. Perfectly located for the Scafell walk from Wasdale great food, fab 'walkers atmosphere' and a natural meeting place whilst waiting for others to complete the Scarfell track. Definitely worth a visit if heading to the area.

Ate here 4 days on the run.. after a hard day's walking. This place is a life saver. Great warm food and your dogs are very welcome. Makes this area top notch to explore knowing you don't have to cook yourself. Love it.

Stunningly located inn with very friendly staff. Steak and Mushroom baguettes were awesome - all food was excellent. Dog friendly as well - even had free dog treats on the bar. A stunning drive over the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes (not for the faint hearted)...More

Good traditional pub serving standard pub grub and a decent selection of real ales. Maybe a tad pricey but not over the top. A welcome watering hole after a day on the fells. Camping is also available for tents on the field opposite.
