Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 1 night while we were walking in the lake district. This B&B is a great find!! Very reasonable rates with cosy bedrooms and a warm homely atmosphere - exactly what you need after walking the hills all day. We will definitely be staying here again.

Stayed here with a friend for 1 night - no plans to go walking, just to have some time in the countryside. The B&B is really cosy and rustic. George was really lovely and friendly, and her breakfast was top. The room was clean and comfortable, and the baths are big! There is 1 pub nearby, and St Olaf's church,...

Burnthwaite Farm is the most relaxed, friendly place I have ever stayed. From the moment of our arrival (late because the traffic was awful), Andy and Georgie made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was delicious, (nothing was too much trouble) our room was warm and comfortable and our afternoon in front of the log burner watching a film was just...

I chose to stay here because i knew Wasdale was one of the best places in the lakes for feeling as cut-off as possible (i needed the break from work!). The farm itself sits at the base of Kirk Fell and Great Gable with some fantastic views of the surrounding fells and the valley. It is a working farm and...

I travel to the Lake District every six weeks undertaking the 214 Wainwrights in 36 walks, but struggled to find accomodation during the Halloween weekend. I travelled to Ingleton falls for the wonderful waterfall walk and then onto the Lakes. Day 1 visited Ingleton falls, Hardknott pass and Bower House Inn pub. Day 2 Visited Buttermere and Syke farm then...

We stayed in the cottage at Burnthwaite for a couple of very relaxing days whilst walking. It is the perfect spot for ascents of Great Gable, Scafell, Steeple and the other great fells located around Wastwater. The cottage itself is traditional and basic but wants for nothing. There is a kitchen with all facilities and a dining table, a small...

Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Located in a stunning area of the lakes, with a gorgeous pub just 2 minutes walk- food was delicious and well worth a visit after a big walk in the Lakes! Rooms were lovely with comfy beds and central heating through the night. Breakfast was a full English (vegetarian option for me which...
