My husband and I stayed at Lyzzick Hall on Monday 25th July for my 40th birthday in The Derwent Room. I couldn't have asked for more from the minute we arrived to the moment we departed. An immaculately presented elegant hotel. Smooth and efficient check in, the room was very spacious with lounge area and huge bathroom with large sunken... More

A very comfortable Lake District hotel nice grounds with a very nice view from the lounge of the surrounding fells. The all inclusive deal with dinner was good value although the food was adequate rather than exceptional, good service from the staff very attentive and a lot of non residents in having meals which is always a good sign. The... More

Wonderful location, great views, a shame we did not get a room with a mountain view. Welcome , very warming and professional. Given a quick tour of the public rooms and bags taken up to room. Room was spacious but the wc had been jammed in and was difficult to use. Dinner , excellent, wide ranging choices and our food was... More

All the staff are very friendly and helpful, the Hotel and pool area were immaculately clean, stunning views. The food was spectacular. Was a little disappointed with the room as it was in the roof space ( Room 20 ). I paid for a standard room ( £142.00 per night ) not a standard rate for that area, but would... More

My husband whisked me off to the Lakes for our wedding anniversary & booked us into the lovely Lyzzick Hall Hotel. We stayed in room 20, which I guess is in the rafters of the original building. So if you're not good with stairs maybe give it a miss. The room itself was lovely & light and fairly spacious. Quite... More

Well. The Lyzzick Hall Hotel seems to have enchanted a lot of the Trip Advisor faithful into bestowing glorious reviews upon it's slated facade and after staying I though perhaps that was a bit generous. On reflection however, several things make this place pretty excellent. Firstly, there are hotels of i'm sure similar opulence which are not priced as fairly... More

This place lives up to its reviews, the hotel is very clean, the pool is great and all the staff are very friendly, well with a visit. The restaurant is fantastic, the food was tremendous. Even if you stay somewhere else make sure you book for dinner here.
