We called in on a Sunday evening during some foul weather! The menu is not particularly extensive, however the food is extremely tasty and cooked to order. The staff are lovely and I would recommend the Farmers Arms for a meal if you are in the area

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay with my teenage daughter for 4 nights. All the staff were really friendly, polite and helpful and showed genuine interest in our 'adventures' each day. The food was of exceptional quality - huge portions too! Our room was lovely and full of character, with wooden beams and pretty little windows. All complimentary room facilities... More

Myself and 5 friends stayed during a cycle tour of the Lakes. After a very difficult day with extreme weather, the staff at the Farmers Arms were exceptional. They went above and beyond our expectations in every aspect. Rooms were great and fantastic food. They even tumble dried the remaining wet cycling gear in the morning. We've done a few... More

Me and my partner stayed Fri 19th and Sat 20th. The room was lovely if a little bare and the linen was super soft. The staff were lovely and polite. The food was amazing. Massive portions. And without doubt the best meal I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back again soon even if it's just for the... More

Positives - rooms and bathrooms were clean, premium grade bedding, freshly laundered towels daily, friendly restaurant staff and chefs, excellent quantity and quality of restaurant evening meals. HOWEVER.... Negatives - mattresses soft and lumpy causing back problems, severely outdated bathroom fixtures, unhelpful reception staff, wifi only available sporadically in reception areas, lack of concern for injuries sustained from door hinge,... Popped in for dinner early evening. Didn't book but luckily it was quiet. Really friendly and attentive staff. Food was great, huge portions left no room for pudding! Only criticism would be the outside areas could do with a bit of care.

We booked to eat at the farmers however we needn't have bothered as there were lots of free tables. The starters were delicious, the Brie wedges were gorgeous however the main was quite disappointing. The portion was huge however the trio of sausage was quite boring, it came with a bubble and squeak which was quite lumpy. I wouldn't return... More

We had booked a table on Thursday evening but on arrival were told there was no beer!! No apology, didn't seem bothered that we left. We went elsewhere...... their loss.... another pub's gain! Really cannot recommend.....

My wife and I stayed at the Farmers Arms in Lowick Green recently for a three night visit. We understand that the hotel had recently been sold and that the new owners had only been in place for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately things were not just going well. When we arrived, we were met with a notice that stated... More

We stayed for one night in a fairly basic room which was a little outdated as was the bathroom. However comfortable bed with nice sheets. Excellent breakfast and all the staff cheerful and helpful. Excellent value for money.
