It's worth every penny for all the reasons everyone else has outlined. We had the Barn room (I think it was called) and it was the best of our 4 day cycle ride from Walney Island to Glasson Docks. Just a shame it wasn't our last night's treat.

We stayed in the main house and the room was beautifully decorated and pristine. It is a 10 minute walk into town which is really handy. Breakfast was amazing! The previous reviews mentioned it and it definitely didn't disappoint! Sam is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend!

Candlewyk didn't disappoint and as a family of four we loved it from arrival. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the owner Sam and her staff Nicola and Daria are fabulous hosts and the breakfasts were superb. Every little detail had been thought off including luxurious local toiletries and fluffy towels in the bathroom and our boys loved the little chocolate... More

Candlewyck Barn certainly lives up to the reviews. Our stay there was exceptionally comfortable and well orchestrated. The hosts are very attentive when necessary but not overwhelming and the breakfasts were of a very high quality and delicious. We stayed in the room over the Barn which was very spacious and well fitted out. High quality fittings and all needs... More

This was our second stay at Candlewyck and as enjoyable as the last time. We stayed in the room over the barn, which is comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts are excellent and there is easy access to Ulverston, and from here to the southern and western Lakes.

Candlewyck is my go to place for luxury and relaxation. The house itself is stunning and only a short walk into Ulverston, the bedrooms are all beautifully decorated and have the most comfortable beds so a good nights sleep is guaranteed. Sam and her team really know how to look after you and nothing is too much trouble. I would... More

We stayed in The Barn for two nights while doing the Morecambe Bay Cycleway. Fantastic room and we were very well looked after by Sam and Nicola - lovely to come back to at the end of a long day with aching limbs! The bed was about the most comfortable I've ever slept in.

We had a great stay at Candlewyck: fantastic breakfasts; two gorgeous labradors; comfortable rooms; and everything was spotlessly clean. As a hostess, Sam was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and she was extremely kind and welcoming. Hope to stay again soon!
