Booked room as the base at both ends of our Cumbria Way holiday. Spoke to owner in advance and was able to leave our car in their car park for the week we are away. Owner left room ready although she wasn't at home when we arrived. Lovely en suite room and access to a large comfortable lounge. Dog made... More

We stayed just one night - in one of the rooms in the annexe to the main house. The room was pleasantly situated with a large, modern bathroom but everything needed a thorough clean. We turned back the bed to find hairs, the floor had not been vacuumed, dead flies on window sill, the loo had obviously been used, dirty... More

We stayed one night and were made very welcome. We were offered our own kitchen and spacious lounge. Bedrooms were nice and the bathroom great. There were a few cobwebs and a need to check small details. Breakfast excellent.

Five of us stayed overnight whilst cycling the Bay Cycleway. Great views from the garden towards Morecambe and Heysham. Our room was in the annexe and had a jacuzzi bath and rain shower, very welcoming to relax in after cycling all day. The bedroom was clean and had all the facilities you'd expect. There was also a spacious guest lounge... More

This is a little gem, hidden up the back roads of Ulverston. The hosts are well used to catering for walkers- we were starting the Cumbria Way and they were really kind and let us leave our car with them all week while we walked and then returned by bus. The rooms are lavish- furnished with antiques, it felt like... More

Stayed one night at start of walking the Cumbria Way. Three adults and a dog, two rooms which were well furnished with outstanding bathrooms. A very comfortable lounge and kitchen available. Out lab was made to feel most welcome. Easy access into town. Breakfast was outstanding. The views from the house (an exquisite victorian house) over the Bay and hills... More

Stayed with wife on recent work related visit to Ulverston. Just 5 min walk to centre of town Down the hill into town. The Mill and Farmers Arms very good. Lovely house and welcoming hosts. Lots of character. Views over Morecambe bay. Recommended.

I booked 2 nights' stay here based on what I saw on the hotel website. An utterly charming place, lovely quiet and comfortable room with a huge bathroom! Marion and Gerry were friendly and most helpful, collecting me from the station and offering a lift into the countryside on the Saturday. Wonderful breakfasts too, and very fairly priced.

We stayed here when starting The Cumbrian Way and found it to be an absolute gem. Marion picked us up from the train station. It was a 5 minute walk to the nearest pub for food. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were very good. Would return here anytime.

During a vacation visit to walk the Cumbria Way trial through the Lake District, we stayed overnight at St. Mary's Mount in Ulverston. By prior arrangement, the gracious innkeeper, Marion Bobbett, met us at our train and gave us a ride to the B&B. It is very nicely situated above the center of town (but only a very short walk...
