Ideal on a cold autumn day to sit by a wood fire and enjoy a lovely meal. I had honey roast ham, there was lots of it and it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit. The staff were friendly and the service very efficient.

I regularly stay here when I am on business. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. The breakfast has good choices. The food in the restaurant is always good. The bar has a good friendly atmosphere and is patronised with locals and tourists.

The Manor hotel is an establishment well used by walkers, particularly those doing Wainwrights coast to coast walk which starts in St Bees. It also popular with businessmen working nearby. The rooms are clean and en-suite. There is a well stocked bar with numerous local ales available. The restaurant serves a wide variety of meals all reasonably priced. Booking appears... More

I visit this lovely little pub on a regular basis with family and friends and I can recommend highly. The food is always fantastic and so is the atmosphere. I do however have to single out one member of the staff, Sam the bar man. He is always pleasant with customers, and is very efficient and I think he's a... More

Stayed here on a Sunday night as part of a 2 day break. Unfortunately we didn't find out that Sunday evening meals had stopped the previous weekend. I had chosen this particular B&B because it also provided food. However we got a meal in the pub just opposite so still avoided having to drive anywhere. The room and bathroom was... More

Stayed here 2 nights preparing for the Coast 2 Coast walk. The proprietor, Mr Glass, was very welcoming and was full of interesting information about both his property, a former horse stable, but also our imminent trek. Good food and friendly staff!

We were recommended The Manor during touring the St Bees area for weekday lunch by a local petrol station and also a local person who was present at the time. We arrived via the rear car park, entering the bar by two sets of stairs which was difficult but not impossible for a disabled person, just slow. Although it was... More
