Lovely service, not just by staff, by locals in the bar too... As we used the entrance from the rear car park, local 'lads' directed us to where we needed to check in... Carrying one of our cases round too... Shown to our twin room with en-suite... Some may call the decor dated, I'd say in fitting with its surroundings...... More

We stayed at the Cross keys on route to a wedding We had heard of the hotel before but never visited. The hotel has ample parking and a good stopping point for visiting the area. The rooms are nice and compact but our room had a fantastic en suite. If we had one critisism it was a tad too warm... More

Stayed for two nights and enjoyed the visit. Food was good Traditional fare and excellent value and the bar was well populated with locals which is always a good sign. Room was comfortable but a little cramped. Breakfast was excellent.

First of all I was anxious to stop here after some of the reviews on this site, but having stopped there for 5 nights, here's my honest review. The overall furnishings would benefit from a refurb, however the whole hotel is very very clean, everything in the rooms worked as it should. I had a twin room, the shower pressure... More

We visited this pub hoping to have lunchtime meal....arrived at 11.55am Sunday morning and asked the man who was lounging around in the bar area (manager or barman?) if we could order lunch. His reply was a firm "No...we don't start serving until 12". As it was only 5 minutes before 12 I asked if we could at least order... More

My partner and I stayed here for two weekend nights, arriving early eve fri. The room was clean and had all we wanted. Large towels, bath robes, tv, tea/coffee making facilities etc. The room was large and clean if a little tired. We had drinks and dinner in the busy bar. I think it's the only pub in the village... Spacious room. Hot water ran out almost instantly so no bath. Big park around the back. Busy pub on ground floor. Lots of a signs warning of a fifty pound fine if you bring in takeaway. Which was a little odd.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel is surrounded by a wealth of history, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, such as Leighton Moss, and a wide range of visitor attractions Milnthorpe has a long history - its busy Friday street market in the Square dates from 1334.
