Having read the reviews we looked forward to our stay but i have limited mobility and on arrival found the stairs up to our “family” room at the top and then down to the conservatory really hard work. Our bedroom had low exposed roof timbers and my wife who is not particularly tall banged her head on a number of... More

We stayed for three nights and could not fault a thing. The cleanliness and attention to detail is well deserving of a five star rating. Jane, the owner is a lovely, friendly lady with an excellent knowledge of the area as is her helper, Ann. The breakfast is a delight, served in the conservatory with the finest, white, bone china,... This was our second stay at the Hill Crest and nothing has changed. Everything was terrific as usual ~ our room was spotless as was the shower room with its many toiletries plus choices of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Plenty of choices at breakfast including cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juices and of course a substantial cooked breakfast with toast... This was the first time we have stayed in a 5 star guest house so our expectations were high. We were not disappointed. From the warm welcome and delicious scones and tea on our arrival we felt at home straight away. With its 4 poster bed and beautiful decor the room was pure luxury. We will certainly return to Hill... More

Its all true! This is a lovely guest house, which represents great value for money. We arrived late on Thursday evening about 9pm but Jane was a charming hostess and provided tea and scones to revive us after a long trawl up the M6. We had a wonderful weekend and were sorry we had to return home on Sunday. The... More

We arrived late in the afternoon after a round of golf and after we had been shown the room and facilities we were offered scones and tea by Jane, but we wanted to go out for dinner so we thanked no to the offer, but what a nice gesture. The room Wehad was a famlily room on the top floor... More

We needed a room with as few stairs as possible, and Jane provided just the place. It was well-appointed, though compact, with a gorgeous bathroom and powerful walk-in shower. Jane prepared tea and scones for our arrival, which hit the spot since I was somewhat carsick when we got there. Our room had such thoughtful decor. The linens and towels... More
