We have just returned from 2 days at New House for our wedding, and it was fantastic. It was the first and last place we visited when looking for a venue, because once you've seen it, why would you go anywhere else? As you more the entire place for the 2 days, you can really stamp your own feel on... More

This was our second visit to New House Farm (we stayed here 2 years ago) and it's still a great place to go. The weather was nice, the scenery amazing, hostess Hazel is the best you could ask for. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for two days pre-weekend wedding and it was lovely. The hot... More

A hidden gem, we stopped here quite by accident. Really lovely surroundings and tea room with a menu of home made and delicious food and friendly and efficient service. Very quaint building with an extremely squeaky floor upstairs which was only slightly annoying.

I will keep it short and sweet. Stayed two nights for my daughters wedding. So truly wonderful in every respect. New House Farm made it one of the best days of my life. Nothing was too much trouble for Hazel, an amazing unflappable and welcoming hostess. Stunning surroundings - stunning everything!!!!!!

We got married here last month. Hazel the owner could not be more helpful and supportive and above all unflappable! Beautiful place, great accommodation and a hot tub to boot! We wanted a low key rural themed wedding and this place is ideal you can really make it your own. Everybody said how fantastic the venue was and loved the... More

We stayed with friends in mid-June and had a great time. Hazel is a brilliant host and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food. Rooms very comfortable, especially Swinside with its power shower. Nearby Crummock Water and Buttermere Lake very good walks and views. Handy for Cockermouth and Keswick.

W spent two nights here for our daughters wedding and from the first minute we were greeted with warmth and helpfulness by our hostess Hazel. The rooms were wonderful and the bathrooms luxurious. Although no restaurant Hazel provides delicious three or five course evening meals if ordered in advance and a tearoom is available in the Barn for snacks. Breakfasts... More

We return to this barn restaurant every year on our holidays! The food is always delicious and the setting is unbeatable. If it's a sunny day you must sit outside as the views are so beautiful!! The interior or the barn is charming though, very rustic!

My daughter trawled the country for a suitable venue for her wedding here we have it. Hazel is so experienced in organising weddings she puts all at ease on which is a very stressful occasion. Beautiful location (the weather was eventually kind to us) and superbly run this should be the first choice of couples wanting a country barn wedding

We booked New House Farm for our wedding and from day one Hazel (the owner) was nothing but helpful and welcoming. We ate in the tea rooms every lunch time in the days leading up to the wedding while we prepared the barn for the big day - there was a good range of options, the food was delicious and... More
