We stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights from 12 to 14 February. We found Julie and the team to be friendly, charming, and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious - good portion size and choice. The sticky toffee pudding was particularly good!! We stayed in "Westmorland " room, which was lovely and clean. The bed was...

Recently stayed for two nights using a Groupon Voucher. 2 nights B&B, dinner on the first night with a glass of wine each. The room was clean and tidy. It had a tea and coffee tray, hairdryer tv. The bathroom was really large. There were complimentary toiletries, including a shaving kit and a sewing kit. The young lady who checked...

Me and my Boyfriend arrived at the hotel at 2pm on the 4th of January and even though early, could still check in. Was given 2 glasses of complementary wine. That night we dined at the restaurant and it was so good that we ate there for breakfast and the following night. We upgraded to a superior room (Room Eden)...

First time visit after fancying a change the room was set out very nice and staff welcomed us on arrival with a glass of Buck's Fizz. The food was hit and miss to be truthful the starter of salmon/crab cake was delicious and with a nice hint of spice the leek and potato soup I'm afraid was very gloopy and...

Thank you for your review and your comments its a shame you felt the need to mark us as a 3 however its each individual persons choice. We always put a lot of effort and money into NYE and keep our charging low as possible to the extent we spend an awful lot on entertainment but don't pass it all...

The menu sounded lovely------- what a shame they didn't stick to it. The bread that came with the soup wasn't as advertised and there wasn't a sign of a watercress sprig with the terrine. Two people chose the 'steamed fillet of haddock - filled with prawn and salmon mousse, finished with buerre blanc, new potatoes, asparagus, green beans & garden...

Thank you for your review I would like to take this opportunity to answer some of your points The watercress was mixed into the salad on your terrine, The braised beef was slow cooked for 6 hours then pressed to hold its shape no way was it reconstituted. The mash potato was also on the beef but had been cooked...
