We have just got home from a perfect weekend at the Blue House B&B We stayed in the Romany Rose Gypsy Caravan. It was so so sweet. Complete with a log-burner and a never ending supply of tea lights, it had everything needed for a cosy little getaway. We spent an hour or so both nights by our private fire... More

I had a wonderful stay for three nights in the Forget Me Not room. It was a lovely, cosy room with plenty of space and quiet at night. Although the room isn't strictly ensuite, the private bathroom is just outside the room, on a landing that you don't share with other guests. Breakfast was generous and the host Tina made... More

We stayed in the gypsy caravan to complete our tour of the Lakes. The caravan is very cosy. Includes a couple of chairs, wood burner and elevated bed. The bed was a little short, I'm 5'11 and managed to sleep comfortably at an angle. Any bigger then it might be a tad uncomfortable. Just outside the caravan there's a fire... More

I have just got home from a two night stay in the delightful garden room at The Blue House Bed & Breakfast. My partner and I loved it so much we have already booked a return trip before we left. The house is tucked away, but still really accessible, the surroundings are amazing and the hospitality is perfect. Tina made... More

We have just spent a lovely weekend at The Blue House. Tina was a friendly, helpful and informative host who made us (and our 2 dogs!) extremely welcome. Our room was delightful and we had everything we needed. The finishing touches of toiletries, dressing gowns and home made flapjacks were much appreciated and breakfast was delicious. Thank you Tina!

We have just spent 2 idyllic nights in a beautiful gypsy caravan with our 2 dogs. The hosts Tim and Tina were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. They recommended places for us to visit off the beaten track, nearby walks including a lovely reservoir where the dogs could swim and Gummers Hill with fantastic views. They also... More

One night was not long enough to appreciate the comfort and great small touches (home made flapjack instead of boring biscuits with the tea and coffee tray). Best sausages I've tasted in a long while for breakfast and a walk up the hill from the house to look at all three counties at once made this a a visit we... More
