We have just spent a lovely weekend at The Blue House. Tina was a friendly, helpful and informative host who made us (and our 2 dogs!) extremely welcome. Our room was delightful and we had everything we needed. The finishing touches of toiletries, dressing gowns and home made flapjacks were much appreciated and breakfast was delicious. Thank you Tina!

We have just spent 2 idyllic nights in a beautiful gypsy caravan with our 2 dogs. The hosts Tim and Tina were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. They recommended places for us to visit off the beaten track, nearby walks including a lovely reservoir where the dogs could swim and Gummers Hill with fantastic views. They also... More

One night was not long enough to appreciate the comfort and great small touches (home made flapjack instead of boring biscuits with the tea and coffee tray). Best sausages I've tasted in a long while for breakfast and a walk up the hill from the house to look at all three counties at once made this a a visit we... More

I recommend a stay in the romany caravan - delightful views, great sunset and what an experience :) Was lovely and v different! The main house was just a few yards and had full use if the shower, toilet, tea, coffee facilities. The breakfast was yummy and lots of choice - all very fresh and beautifully prepared. Tina and Graeme... More

We spent a couple of nights at the Blue House, which proved to be an absolutely idyllic location within easy reach of all the South Lakes attractions. A farmhouse-type B&B, it has two gypsy wagons (very trendy) for the brave vacationer, but we went with the comfort of the B&B room. The welcome and breakfast were superb. My only minor... More

A wonderful B&B in idyllic surroundings in a quiet, remote location. Everything we expected and more was provided. Owner was so friendly and accommodating. She went out of her way to ensure our stay. Ideally situated for local walks and proximity to Lake Windermere. Well recommended!

Tina and Graeme are wonderful, myself and husband spent 3 nights in their original romany rose gypsy caravan (with firepit for toasting marshmallows) and our teenagers slept in their own entranced unit with 2 beautiful bedrooms and full bathroom. We even stayed an extra night and the kids got to experience a night in their 1970,s VW Campervan, what an... More

We stayed here recently in the Gallery, and were extremely pleased with the comfortable facilities. Our two dogs were very welcome as well, and also enjoyed their stay. The breakfasts were delicious, and Tina's flapjacks that were left beside our tea-making equipment disappeared almost as soon as she left them! Another couple's dog had a birthday while we were there... More

We had a wonderful stay in the Romany caravan which was so cosy and cute! The view was amazing and the cooked breakfast the next day was delicious. The lovely owner also kindly drove us into cartmel. Wonderful hospitality and would highly recommend a stay there.

Stayed in Romany Rose for two nights for our 20th Anniversary. On arrival we were met Tim and the very friendly dogs. Tim was a great host and showed us around the caravan and the wonderful shower/kitchen facilities and gave us a lesson in lighting and running the log burner. The caravan is lovely and cosy and we spent the... More
