Cruck barn is an ancient structure, beautifully restored, with a feel of permanence. Views from the barn of the nearby fells are stunning. The wood burning stove made for a very pleasant relaxing warmth that we struggled to leave behind! If you're in need of a 'wind down' this is the place! Practically, the barn is well equipped, and the... More

We had a marvellous week at Cruck Barn in April 2015.The barn is warm and comfortable and a great venue for a family get together. The views are stunning and we were treated to all four seasons over our stay. The wood burner was great on the snowy days, allowing us to be warm and cosy whilst we played games... More

We were met by our charming host Roger who was so helpful in every way, nothing was a bother. It was a week of rest that we badly needed, interspersed with wonderful walks around the many lakes and drives through the beautiful scenery. Our host made many great suggestions for points of interest off the beaten track, I don't think... More
