Attended a family wedding at this stunning hotel. Afternoon tea served as the wedding breakfast was superb and the Hog Roast layer was exceptional. Location was stunning and a lake cruise was also part of the day. A wedding to remember at a fab location.

Stayed here many times and always like the feel of the place. Friendly staff, good food and nice places to sit pre or post dinner. However our room was less than ideal. When we stayed it was a warm day but we were unable to open the window sufficiently to let cooler air in so we had to use the... More

We got married here on 14th August and the staff couldn't do enough to help us. Lynsey and daryl are fantastic wedding planners and kept us at ease. There wasn't anything hans wouldn't do including getting a hack saw to the gate to the waterfall to ensure we didn't miss our photos. Janette kept us all organised and on track... More

We stayed in the catbells suite. ...very nice..overlooking catbells at the front of the hotel on the 3rd floor. ....staff couldn't have been more friendly especially bar staff jake and Christina. .made us feel very welcome. ..The duty manager jannett was very chatty and informative on the area and things to do and even though she had the hotel to... Check in was slow, with only one lady serving - Holly. She was very chirpy, but having heard her spiel four times it became apparent that she had her lines well rehearsed. We were asked to pay £50 deposit up front in case we spent anything. We knew we wouldn't and said as much but apparently it's company policy -... More

We took our family ( eleven people in all ) to the Lodore Falls for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. It was a very good experience with really excellent food ( with a private room for one dinner) and first class service from the staff. The pool and gym were great for our grandchildren. Nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is stunning - the room was amazing (though wifi was only available in one corner of the room!!!!) The setting is to die for and the views across the lake were gorgeous by day and at sunset ( we were blessed with beautiful weather!) When we arrived we were treated to a complimentary cream tea and that started... More

Saw the signs 'Now serving afternoon tea', so we called in. Informed that it was not served after 5pm (it was 5.15). Ordered sandwiches & tea. Waiter brought out the drinks but forgot the cups. Cups arrived but no saucers. The poor waiter had difficulty understanding what saucers were (language barrier). Saucers duly arrived a little later, as did the... More

Dear 'Granedem' Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you didn't receive our normal high level of service on your recent visit. We stop serving food in the bar at 5pm but continue to offer snacks and light meals in our leisure club after this time, the sign is normally removed around this time. The young man who served you...
