A very nice afternoon tea which was let down by the scones which were extremely dry. I mentioned this when paying and was told it would be passed on. Can only assume the scones had not been baked that day or had been frozen and defrosted.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights as part of a walking holiday and overall had an excellent time. We had a room with a lake view and balcony with seating which was wonderful. We originally booked for two nights via Secret Escapes but managed to get a third night in an upgraded room for a small increase in... More

We have now stayed at the Lodore Falls Hotel twice and highly recommend for other small families. Having previously stayed in the Tower Suite (not suitable for Children with all the stairs) we recently returned with our 2 year old and stayed in the Penthouse Suite. I read other reviews that state the hotel is outdated which I would probably... More

We stayed at the Lodore Falls Hotel in Keswick for a three night break in September. We booked our break through Secret Escapes which included dinner and breakfast on the three nights and tea and scones on arrival. The hotel is set in a beautiful location, however our first impression is that it was geared towards the elderly generation (we... More

The service, food, cleanliness of this hotel was spot on, I thoroughly recommend the lake view rooms with a balcony ours was small but adequate with lovely views & a table & chairs to sit outside & savour the outstanding scenery. The walks around the hotel are fabulous and very much worth the time to walk up to the waterfall... More

The hotel was clean and in a lovely location, the room we had was small and no view which was disappointing, so booking one with a view would have been better. The mattress was incredibly soft, this may be more due to personal preference, but it offered very little support. However, the curtains were very thick, meaning that they did... More

We stayed on the 24th September in a suite on the front of the property overlooking the lake. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble even though they've thought of everything beforehand! We took our little jack Russell and the staff all loved her, there are no dogs allowed in the bar but... More

A very nice hotel, but the room, advertised as Fell view, only gave a view of two neighbouring balconies, angled so that persons on them could see straight into our room, barely 20 feet away. Food and bar were excellent, and, if I booked earlier next time, I would choose a lakeside view room, or else insist that we weren't... More

This place far exceeded expectation in every area. I cannot fault anything at all (and I'm very picky). An excellent place, and very dog friendly and next time I visit I may decide to take the child too. I would definitely recommend
