The hotel is set in a beautiful part of the Lake District. We stayed here as a couple for a long weekend and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The views around the hotel are beautiful, especially the lake in front of the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and quite traditional in style. We stayed in a Falls View room,... More

Simply excellent and moreish. Had booked one night then needed another which is the only reason I got up so early from my super king size bed to book at reception. Unfortunately I had to leave before being able to indulge in spa treatments and gym. So I'll be back.

We had a short break in the Lake District and stayed at the Lodore Falls. We had lakeside view rooms so enjoyed the fantastic views over Derwentwater. The rooms are OK, very clean although they do vary in size. Our two sons shared a twin room which was far more roomier then our double room. At the time of our... More

The setting is lovely and the food in the restaurant is very good. The staff are helpful and professional. I was however surprised at how small the rooms are and the furniture was quite tatty in our room. We did pay extra to have a fell view room. I think in general the hotel is good.

We stayed there for one night on a Spa break package. The position of the hotel is perfect for a relaxing weekend. It's just across the road from the lake and a short walk from the falls. It is set in a grand old building and as such it offers that little bit of charm. The grounds are reasonably well... More

Not informed at booking of wedding being held. Stayed in room 108. Fire offensive smell and noisy. No wi-fi reception in this room. Told we'd have to pay £5 tray fee for every course of meal ordered on room service. Contradictory terms and conditions on age restrictions on line to those advertised in leisure facility. Daughter suffered foot injury in... More
