We arrived for pre-booked afternoon tea at 2pm and were promptly shown to a table overlooking the lake which was lovely.

This is luxury, done very, very well. The setting is stunning. The rooms are very nice. The restaurants look out over the beautiful setting. Service is very friendly.

Nice place to stop if walking around the lake.

We have single rooms which allow dogs but unfortunately no fridges in those rooms. We have our own Hike and Bike book and it provides a number of walks that start and end from the front door of the hotel, we’re just about to update in time for your visit!
We do ask that dogs stay on a lead but if your dog is well behaved and stays by your side then this shouldn’t be a problem, it’s just to avoid dogs getting under our feet when we’re carrying heavy trays for example!
Room service carries a charge of £5 per tray but we can set up a table for breakfast and dinner in the doggy lounge where you can both sit together.
There is a £10 per dog per night charge which includes dog bed and bowl in the room on arrival.
I hope this helps.
