We paid £110 for 2 people and a dog. Clean room, good bed, but shower pressure was terrible. £110 is just not good value.
And the restaurant? Oh come on. £22 for a steak with some tired vegetables? Something like a tenner for an omelette...More

From the outside Alston House is not very inspiring but inside it is much better. The staff are pleasant without being intrusive, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is very good and plentiful.
