Today I visited the Wild Boar Hotel for the first time using a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea. My friend and I were made to feel very special by the attentive, professional staff members, who obviously know how to practice excellent customer service. Lovely fresh food, the scones were warm, lots of tea & coffee and the most beautiful surroundings....

Hotel is lovely and oldy worldy very comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly, however the food was a disapointment, dinner was expensive for what you got and breakfast was more like a motorway self service and over cooked, I expected better from a hotel.

What a lovely afternoon tea, it's cozy relaxing and the staff are just adorable, Mary gave first class service and served cream tea and as much tea as you can drink, it's just fabulous, thank you! 😀 we will revisit

We were lucky to receive a voucher as a gift to stay at the wild boar and we were not disappointed. We arrived early and had a delicious Sunday roast. Our room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly and accommodating. We had a spa treatment .... awesome! The evening meal was equally as yummy. We will be back!...

The Wild Boar Hotel has loads character and charm 😍. The staff were great and helpful but what charms you is the place it self 😍😍 Black and white exterior and loads of polished wood inside 😍😍😍 Huge log fire in one of the rooms 😍 You can even have a spa treatment 😍😍 Perhaps next time 😍😍😍😍

Room a little dated, but clean, warm & comfortable. The arrival at the hotel at night was stunning. Floodlit,it looked welcoming & the staff were friendly & helpful. The buffet breakfast was an excellent selection & was unrushed with plenty of hot coffee or tea. Would definately recommend & look forward to visiting again.

This was booked through a wowcher deal as the initial picture of the hotel looked amazing and I kept hinting to the other half about it and finally he caved in :P. At looking at some of the negative reviews we were slightly dubious however once we got there, we knew this was a perfect break away for us. As...

Pleasant room (although initially very over-heated) and comfortable bed. Bathroom very tired and shower fitting fell to pieces when first touched. Also very low water pressure, so barely qualified as a shower. Food okay and not badly priced, but nothing special. Decent buffet breakfast. Fine for the £59 we paid for a night's stopover B&B through Wowcher, but wouldn't pay...

We arrived at this hotel and were greeted warmly and swiftly allocated our room. The hotel is lovely, a little dated and worn but nothing more than you would expect from a busy hotel. I'm not sure what the standard rate is as we visited via a Groupon voucher which was absolutely fabulous value. £99 for a two night stay...

Purchased an evening stay which included dinner for £89 via groupon. I must say I wasn't disappointed. Hotel is lovely. A little dated but no more than I expected. Menu was a little limited but the food served was excellent. Nothing much in the area so you are limited to their bar but as I was there for a romantic...
