Just popped in for a quick drink to see if the hotel was suitable for a wedding, one of bar staff young lad called Charlie I noticed was constantly swearing and being obnoxious and was overheard mocking the Hillsborough disaster. Never go again there

We got married at Willington Hall early August; everything that we had asked for was provided to the highest quality. Throughout the planning, the staff worked with us to ensure that we had the day we wanted. Natalie was always quick to respond, and even on the day she was checking with us right up to the last minute due...

Night away here last night and really loved it. Magnificent old country mansion which I think specialises in wedding, but we had a one nighters last night. Gorgeous old 1800's home which retains most of its timeless features. If your after modern, then this is not you. But the era of this place is evident everywhere. We had a four...

Went here for a group Xmas dinner. About 60 in the group. It was very badly signposted, we had a lot of trouble finding our way in after eventually finding the gate. Then the food was poor -- I know it is difficult to cater for large numbers, but 60 shouldn't be beyond a place like this. I certainly won't...

What a delight. We had one of the four poster rooms, with a dual aspect enabling us to watch a stunning sunset. Bathroom was clean, with the ability to leave on a very subtle light, for getting up in the night which was very useful and a lovely touch. However, as is often the case, insufficient light to do make-up...

Best time ever. I was the groom. Ours was the first wedding in the new Orangery room. We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast (i.e. dinner) and next day breakfast at Willington Hall. Food was good... rooms were great... staff were even better. I needed some shoe polish and asked the front desk if they had any. They did not. But...

My first visit to Willington hall was with a group booking for a Christmas lunch so not interested in the building although the large dining room pleasant and traditional, ie has not been subjected to a ghastly "modernisation". More importantly the food was delicious, I never thought I would ever rave about roast potatoes but these were the best I've...

Sorry but this is a beautiful building but needs a lot of money spending on it, Windows are nearly falling out and needs decorating in a lot of areas, The bedroom was very large with a huge bed and could be made beautiful but every where to me seemed dull and gloomy. we had a party in the extension and...

Beautiful building out in the countryside. Staff helpful and friendly, food good but limited choice. DJ's made sure everyone was up dancing and joining in games. A really great atmosphere for the Xmas party night. Would go again next year.

We have heard of Willington hall before, but never been, WHY NOT??!!!, a warm friendly welcome on arrival, a very large room, with the biggest bed in the county! , warm and comfy, all the usual bits and pieces in the room, the food is fantastic, and plenty of it, it is not very often where you stay at a...
