My partner and I had wanted to stay here for over 16 years, as we used to live in Sandbach, and when we did at short notice, I must say we were bitterly disappointed. This hotel used to have a good reputation in the area. From the empty beer bottle in the car park, that was there the entire 3... More

Me and my partner stayed here on Thursday and Friday night, we like to think we are reasonable people.. when we first checked in the reception was clearly having a bad day (as I said we are reasonable people and understand people sometimes aren't on top form!) Was very snappy. We went to our room that was nice enough. We... More

Me and my husband stayed here on a Saturday night after being at a wedding during the day. The receptionist was very welcoming upon arrival and directed us to our room. The corridor decor is a a little tired and it looks like there is a bit of damp problem but we didn't see any of this in our room... More

Stayed here for business reasons and although from the outside it looked grand the old part of the hotel where we stayed was below par and lounge what looked like was being refurbished. The place lacked atmosphere the bar was half stocked and draft ale was off line. Having saying that the staff were attentive and the evening meal although... More

Despite the reviews I am writing now as I lay on a comfy bed in a modern spacious room with a good shower, as a business traveller this is good better than a travel lodge any day, happy helpful staff I don't understand the moaning reviews, yes there is a bit of re carpeting going on in the lounge but... Great value for money,we stopped here for a night and played golf just down the road at malkins bank, the bar staff were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction at night, and the staff on reception booked us some taxis to get into sandbach at night.

I had my wedding here. The service we had wasn't up to standards. We had numerous problems on the day, I have emailed them, but they haven't responded back. Here are some of the issues: The chimney house was very short staffed and during the meal my guest found it very difficult to get drinks as all the staff were... More

We stayed at the Chimney House on a visit to family in cheshire at end of July 2016. The accommodation was standard, the rooms could do with updating in places, there was a strong smell of damp when you walked from reception to the rooms. Although this is a very old building. The main problem we encountered was that there... More

My wife, grandson and I stayed for one, pre-booked night at Chimney House. We were very pleased with the friendless, help beyond expectations, food, cleanliness and service. Needless to say we were exceptionally satisfied. Value for money is excellent.
