The staff were very helpful and made us welcome when we arrived and the breakfast was good. The pub was very lively and busy as was the town. The room was ok but the bathroom was a bit tatty and tired and I expected better for £110 even if the bathroom had been immaculate I think it would be overpriced

Went in here for a beer on a walking tour of Nantwich. There was a lovely garden area out the back and we sat outside. Had a good look in the other rooms, it kind of felt like the inside of a ship with its shiny metal surfaces, not what we expected from the olde worlde look outside.

Booked as a last minute deal we stayed overnight at this hotel, we had a really nice stay, the food was really good, the staff were really helpful and the cocktails were fab as well. We only stayed in the standard room (a bit small) but had a really amazing wet room and shower. Next time we are hoping to... More

Really liked this place. An £8 taxi journey to the centre of Chester. Room was comfortable, great service at the bar and for breakfast. Near the waterway where the long boats park so very picturesque. Huge amount of parking so no hassle getting parked. Would stay again.

This was the second visit we've made here staying in the octagon suite. We enjoyed it so much last time we decided to come again. We knew what to expect in terms of noise of a night time, it was very loud in the room. Upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely attentive staff. We couldn't fault the staff at... More

Hi Cheryl, I am sorry to see your second visit with us didn't exceed or at least match the expectations you had from your first visit. Our Octagon suite is very popular as it truly is one of a kind and I must be honest and say we've not had any other complaints regarding the temperature of the room, perhaps... More

Nice looking hotel and bar, however the rooms are very small and the shower head was broken. The main fault is the bar has a booming disco which goes on until 3am so sleeping is impossible, I would of been happier if they had told us this before hand in which case I would have stayed elsewhere..........

Hello, I am sorry to see you had a bad nights sleep but unfortunately the booming music you are referring to was coming from the nightclub next door as our music doesn't go any later than 1.15am. It does state on all of our literature that we operate a busy bar in the centre of a lively town so some... More

We stayed at the Cheshire Cat two weeks ago for two nights. We were really looked after from the moment we arrived by Joe who showed us to our room. I booked mothers day afternoon tea and it really could have been better. We arrived slightly early and had a drink in the bar to wait for our table, my glass was dirty and sticky as was the bar and the menus. First impressions were not good. I like the old building but the decor was distasteful but each to... More
