Returned to Alvaston to see this tribute act, and also to see the splendid gardens in summer. (We usually come to Alvaston for New Year). We were not disappointed. Friday night entertainment from the resident band, the Blackjacks, included a very good Abba set. On Saturday, Genesis Connected were excellent, sounding as good as the real Phil Collins. We had previously seen Pete Bultitude as a Phil Collins tribute act with a 10 piece band. The double drum setup has been retained but there is no longer a horns section. Sunday night's entertainment was Majestic Voices, which was the entertainment team's celebration of the music of Queen. They put on an excellent show. During the weekend the food and service were excellent (especially the poached eggs at breakfast). There were the usual Warner quizzes and activities during the day for those who wanted to join in. Overall, an excellent weekend. Thank You!

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel to see a show and Genesis Connected were excellent. We will definitely be back next year. A special mention this year goes to the backroom staff particularly the Gardeners for a fantastic floral display. We chose a room downstairs with a garden patio and it was very nice. The food on offer was also excellent, although the choice of hot sweets particularly the chefs choice were very limited.I mention rice pudding Saturday night and pancakes Sunday night in particular, Overall though thanks for an excellent stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Alvaston staying in a Fairways balcony room.We visited Chester, Shrewsbury, Lyme Park NT house nr Macclesfield, and the charming nearby town of Nantwich and just outside Snugburys ice cream farm ! We walked miles round all these places then refilled with the great food in the Grove..pancakes for breakfast ! All the entertainment was top-notch and as we met in the 1970s Genesis Connected were the perfect highlight for us..we celebrated our 41st anniversary on our last day So many thanks to all at Alvaston

For a birthday celebration my husband & I, booked to go to Warner’s ‘Alverston Hall’ in Nantwich. We arrived on Friday 12th July. For a three day break. We were welcomed by one of the staff members with a warm smile. After checking in our cases we went to reception to book in. Again very friendly staff. As we had booked a suite, we had our own parking space & this was called Sandbach, also having a suite we could go to our room at 1.p.m. Instead of 2.p.m. After a drink in the Fountain Bar, this is where you can chill out & have something to eat & drink. When we booked in we were handed our room card & our Weekend Entertainment Guide, which tells you all the activities that are on throughout each day & night. We went to our suite it was called Fairways 551 Sandbach & what a site greeted us. A massive lovely lounge, large bedroom, huge bed, plenty drawer & wardrobe space. Also a large bathroom with double shower & free standing bath. What a view from our secluded balcony. The entertainment was fantastic. On Friday night we had the ‘Party Band – The Blackjacks’. Great music & girl singers. On Saturday night we had the brilliant ‘Genesis Connected’. They were a tribute band to Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel & Mike & the Mechanics. On Sunday night, we were entertained by ‘Majestic Voices’. They were ‘The Alvaston Allstars’ & ‘The Blackjacks’. They delivered a wonderful medley of ‘Queen’ songs. There were also dance routines which were outstanding. Also throughout each day there were many activities, & a lovely swimming pool, sauna & steam room & Spa. The meals were as usual of the very highest standard & they had something for everyone. All the staff work so hard to make sure you have a memorable holiday. Well done to them all.
