Had afternoon tea here and was delightful. As much tea and coffee as you please at a very leisurely pace. You never felt rushed to leave and staff were very nice and efficient. Wonderful selection of cakes and sandwiches (bravo to the chef!).

Dear travel_girl378, Thank you for taking the time to share your afternoon tea experience on Trip Advisor. The setting of the hotel truly lends itself to this great British tradition that was introduced in 1840. I will be sure to pass on your comments to Chef and the Restaurant Manager who will both be pleased you enjoyed your afternoon. Kind regards, John Murphy

Took my mum for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Lovely food and great service, lovely assortment of sandwiches and cakes, offered to pack what was left in a box for us as we had so much left. Lovely room and views too.

Dear SB01, Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. You will indeed have noticed a difference having visited 20 years prior and I do agree that the decor is beautiful within the main house. Thank you for your lovely comments regarding the food and service. I am sorry that you were not taken with the Nantwich Suite and also our executive building. Your feedback regarding the gym equipment I have passed onto our Health Club & Spa and Fitness Manager. The Reception area is set out in a way to welcome our guests to feel at home and relaxed. We offer guests a seat to ensure all reservation details are correct on arrival. For those guests not wishing to wait on departure we do offer an express departure. I'm delighted to read that overall you enjoyed your visit and we look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back to one of our Hand Picked properties in the future. Kind regards, John Murphy
