The following is from the hotel website "Enjoy a friendly welcome and fabulous night's sleep at The Royal Hotel!" The welcome was friendly and the staff I dealt with very pleasant and a credit to the hotel; with regard to the second part of that statement, well read on..... It was such a shame as they have obviously spent a lot of money on this hotel and have done a good job, the public areas and the stairwell are particularly smart and well appointed with a high standard of décor, and the room was clean and tastefully decorated albeit on the small side for a double room. The problem that I had (and I may have just been unlucky as it was a Friday night) was the "nightclub". After managing to doze very briefly, around midnight I gave up all hope of getting any sleep due to the constant boom, boom, booming of the "music", (It even defeated my ear plugs). This finally finished at 05.00 by which time the sound of the traffic through the ineffective windows, which needed double glazing, had started to drown it out. Double glazing would also have made the room a bit warmer. The following days event that I was attending in Crewe and which I had really been looking forward to was completely wrecked for me as I was so tired I gave up and travelled home early.

I had a lovely stay in Crewe, The Royal hotel is situated next to the train station which is a highly convenient location. The hotel is stunning and the staff are really helpful and friendly! The bar downstairs and nightclub were both fantastic and the breakfast the following morning was delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Crewe. I'll most definitely be back!

We had a fabulous evening in the newly refurbished bar/ club room and a night staying here. The hotel had a great atmosphere and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. This hotel is very near the station and has many charming features. The food is good too. I would definitely stay here again.
