This is a beautiful building with an ugly extension at the rear to cater for corporate events. The two parts are not well integrated and the glass corridors are cold looking out at empty grass spaces. The only place to eat is a sterile brasserie with poor service. My food at dinner had to be returned as most of it...

I visited Crewe Hall for my 50th Birthday treat from my friend. This is a really lovely place to visit and afternoon tea was absolutely delicious. The staff left you alone to enjoy your afternoon, but there was always a top up of tea on hand without interrupting our conversation. Lovely afternoon.

Spent the day with relatives and had lunch and dinner in the restaurant. The Hotel itself although full of history was stark and very cold and unwelcoming. The bar/restaurant was not clearly sign posted and was quite a distance from the lovely old building. The menu offer for both lunch and dinner was standard fare and although adequate did not...

We stayed at Crewe Hall on an overnight Spa break for my fiance's 30th birthday. The hotel is presented to a very high standard in both the new and original buildings. We stayed on an overnight spa break for 2 people which included 1 hour or 2 x 30 minute treatments each, use of the leisure facilities on both days,...

Booked a spa overnight stay which was good value for money. Included lunch on day of arrival, dinner that evening, a 50 minute spa treatment the following day and breakfast. The reception staff were excellent on arrive and very helpful. Our room was available when we arrived at 11am which was an added bonus (they could have made us wait...

6 of us went here for a 30th birthday spa stay & it was lovely. The treatments are amazing, the rooms are lovely, the food is gorgeous. Feel very relaxed. The drinks are pricey but it's what you expect in a place like this. We got a really good spa deal. The hotel is "oldey worldy" & is lovely. Very...

So I booked this as a 2 night break with by best friend as we don't get to see much of each other now and Crewe is roughly half way between us. The package included dinner, B&B on both nights and 1.5hrs of treatments. On Saturday evening, the service in the restaurant was terrible. The staff were trying their best...

I visited the spa with my mum for half a spa day. We upgraded our trip and added on a massage for an extra £28 each. The changing faculties are nice and spacious. However the pool area and hot tub and much to be desired. The pool is basic and there are glass windows surrounding it, not the best for...

We were at Crewe Hall for a cousin's wedding. Wow! The main hall, chapel, and other large rooms are dripping with the most gorgeous Victorian decoration, wood carving and pre-Raphaelite style decoration. Absolutely stunning! The building does date back to 1635. The majority of the rooms are in a modern (80's?) annexe, which is quite a walk down long corridors,...

A grand hotel and ex stately home in its own large and magnificent grounds. Accommodation is in a variety of rooms, some are in the depths of the old building and all well appointed. Conference facilities are excellent as are the dining and public rooms.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A superb 17th century hotel located in Crewe in Cheshire. This Grade I listed building has been attracting refined guests since the 17th century, including our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II. This hotel is a fine mix of historic Jacobean and sharp 21st century architecture. The magnificent history oozes throughout the hotel from exquisite marble fireplaces to stained glass windows. Yet the contemporary edge of Crewe Hall can be found throughout the hotel from the revolving bar in the brasserie to the state-of-the-art leisure club. The hotel has 117 spacious, comfortable bedrooms, some are located in the historic old building but majority can be found in the new contemporary wing. Just minutes from the M6 motorway, Crewe Hall is only 24 miles from Chester’s sights and shops and close to Liverpool and Manchester.Crewe Hall is home to a modern conference and events centre. It is very impressive with both it's facilities and service that we offer you.
