On what should have been a really sad afternoon, the charming Irish lady and her wonderful staff transformed the day with their ability to turn the customers wishes into reality. Beautifully organised wake followed by an impromptu evening meal in the atmospheric `orangerie` Nothing was too much trouble, seats and tables were rearranged at the drop of a hat and...

The hotel is old & the room was in an area known as a balcony room situated at the back of hotel. The room was ok, but could do with a carpet cleaner! Bathroom is simple & clean. I had a meal in the bar area as the restaurant was freezing, however the bar wasn't very warm, the hottest thing...

Located in the center of Wisbech. Not a very warm welcome but hotel has some old world charm, parts of the hotel are over 400 years old. Room was adequate with central heating, clean shower room, TV, tea/coffee making facilities. Full English breakfast was really good. Hotel has free wifi and car parking and a nice tea shop/cafe on site.

returned for another weekend in wisbech to visit elderly auntie and stayed at our favourite hotel and was not let down. Had a nice room at the front which wasn't our usual one at the back as we booked pretty near to travelling and the usual room was booked up, but it was just as nice and the staff lovely...

Proper English place , English staff , English atmosphere and proper English pub food , everything cooked fresh and very tasty flavours working throughout. I love all good, from a "good "take away through to fine dining and I am always happy if the food I'm paying for lives up to the price I pay , which is not very...

This is the second time we have been to the restaurant for a meal, we were not disappointed, the service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive wanting to know how our food was and were we happy. I would recommend this restaurant, there aren't that many in Wisbech that supply crisp white linen and big linen napkins, a...

My colleague and I stayed here for 3 nights, the building itself is over 400 years old and is wonderful and quirky. That's probably the best part of the hotel. The room (302) I stayed in was okay, as for breakfast, I was not impressed. Cheap yoghurts and the 'fresh' fruit which certainly didn't look fresh. The girl serving didn't...

Im not quite sure how this place achieved a 4 star rating. The staff were very nice and friendlybut the room was a bit of a let down it needed decorating and our room especially was very noisy. The food unfortunately was terrible not cooked very well and both times it was cold. Disappointing

I made a booking to stay here but I needed to cancel because I got my dates wrong. I'd booked through Booking.com and understood it was non-refundable. I thought I'd ring anyway to see what could be done. The lady on the telephone was straightforward and honest. The booking was less than a week away and right away she said...

Stayed for 2 nights with friends and whilst Wisbech itself could do with rejuvenation, the hotel was excellent. From the moment we arrived they could not have done more to ensure we had a great stay. From the initial checking in through to meals and checking out everyone was so warm and welcoming. Many hotels who charge a lot more...
