This is a very old, but lovely hotel. The room was very comfortable and warm. The reception staff Louise were extremely friendly and helpful,we were provided with lots of information regarding interesting places to visit during our stay. I will definitely stay here again. Len and Gee

I've just stayed for another 3 nights as we use the hotels conference facilities. Despite a change in staff, we were again very well looked after by everyone, particularly Anne who responded to all of my requests. This is an interesting hotel, with lots of history so if you want perfection in a modern, faceless hotel, this is not for... More

This apparently used to be the best hotel in Wisbech. Well I have to say it probably was once but it has a few problems now. Some of the rooms had no electric sockets working from Friday afternoon until we left on the Sunday. Some had no hot water for the whole weekend due to a problem with a boiler.... More

Stayed here last night, room 314. Room clean and tidy and decor was ok. The bed had to be one of the worst ever, so soft, lumpy and uncomfortable. I guess the bed has been there since the hotel was built 1601 !!!. Bathroom clean BUT the shower door was held on by only one hanging roller at the top.... More

It was last minute and the only room they had, fair enough - but what a horrible room, very basic and quite small. Very strange shaped bathroom with the ceiling beams you couldn't use the shower because you couldn't stand up it was a joke, very dated but it was clean. Would return but would be specific to not get... More

just got back once again from a weekend stay at this lovely hotel, was disappointed to find David had left but the young lady who booked us in was lovely and made us feel welcome. Had a different room this time as David always booked us in the same room, but we couldn't remember the room number when rang to... More

I would have given my experience last night at this hotel a 0 if is was possible but to be fair the majority of the staff I spoke to were very nice. But wow, what night! After booking into my room quite late I went up to my room to find the most amazing stain on the top cover of... More

Thankyou for your feedback, as you say it is useful and we do appreciate it. We have noted all your comments and acted on them, specifically training and maintenance. As you correctly pointed out the building's age does give us more work than the average chain hotel, though we hope that quirks such as half size wardrobes add to the... More

Stairs in this hotel is 400 years old. Very quaint cellar bar. Room was very nice. My room had a good view of marketplace. Staff very good. Nice area. My room bed probably could have a better mattress and bathroom very small. Good place to have beer.

Stayed for one night on a business trip in wisbech. Satnav struggled to find the hotel but eventually got there. Parking was limited and I had to use a public car park for the first couple of hours which was a pain but got parked in the hotel later that evening. Hotel is Great with some lovely original features. Evening... More
