Room was spacious with all required items although in need of a bit of a makeover. The welcome from the manager Ian was excellent and the service he gave all evening was excellent, a very busy place and he didn't stop all night. Food was good as was the wine although wine was a tad expensive. Breakfast was very good.... More

Well I thought I had booked a romantic evening away, we had a party over that way, two stones and all that. Customer service was not great, bedroom smelt damp, mould in bathroom, cheap beds, dirty carpets, very disappointed.

I had an overnight here as I was teaching in the area. I was working in Bedford and this was handy for my venue. It is a pub hotel with rooms off the main building in a converted stable block. The rooms were done to a good standard and the welcome and service were professional and friendly. There is not... More

Changed hands so thought we would try it again. It's just not quite got it! Should be great, location, building, such potential sadly a missed opportunity its. It lacks soul. Also the food is ok, but just ok. Personally I go out to eat for something special. This was not. For example I had fish and chips, worse than the... More

The barmen is very miserable, we had a meal there on the off chance, the tables needed cleaning or a table cloth on them. The prawn cocktail was pretty good, as was the fish a chips a good portion. Pretty good meal two blokes were full when we left.

Not kid friendly my children are very bored! We were a family of 8. Getting drinks at the bar took so long a drink every 5... More

We have been as a family on the last two Sundays during the evening and I must say that I am surprised by some of the poor reviews. One fault I will point out, that I hope will be listened to, is that the Yorkshire puddings were way overdone on both occasions. Other than that, the food has been lovely,... More

Had a great time celebrating my mother in laws 70th birthday. Special thanks to Ian for being so helpful and polite. 16 people all served at the same time. Food was good and hot. The service was great. The price was really good value too.

We stopped off for Sunday lunch. We chose Sunday roast, beef,Yorkshire,s and veg.when it came and we looked at it the Yorkshire,s were very burnt, we tried to eat it but it was too burnt. Then while eating the beef it was very grisly. We told a waitress ,and she said she would tell the chef! But we got no... More
