What a shame: a beautiful location but badly run hotel. Under resourced, staff wise, so queued for everything. Took 20 minutes to find out what our reserved table number was, let alone to order. Bar man surly and can't blame him but other staff stressed and friendly. Food was awful. My husband ordered medium to rare steak but was served... More

We arrived by boat at this lovely place (we had booked and were told we must arrive by 12 or would not get a table). It was a lovely setting with free 48 hour mooring for guests. The staff were efficient and friendly and we enjoyed a delicious lunch of Rib of Beef (lots of extra gravy was provided), lamb... More

I come to this pub regularly and always come away happy. It's a beautiful place and has wonderful character. The people I bring here with me love it too. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. It's good for children and dogs too. Can't wait for my next visit.

Met up with friends for Saturday lunch. The fish and chips were excellent - and very good value (around £5 from the small bar menu). Confusingly, there was also a larger a la carte menu that was much more expensive. The fish was excellent and also came with mushy peas! Apparently the beer was good, but I was driving! Nice... Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you found your visit to The Old Ferry Boat enjoyable, our 2 menu's are not meant to confuse, but to give our guests the option between a 'value' priced meal or an 'a la carte' priced meal, all for the same quality but just varying in dishes and sizes. We hope... More

Driving from Belgium to Yorkshire I wanted an nice relaxed midway stop. This is exactly what we found here. The location and the inn itself are charming and the food is what you'd expect in a nice pub. The service was incredibly busy for dinner but the staff really gave it their best staying really friendly all the time. The... More

In the area for a training course, the hotel room is to a good standard, the place is clean and well set out, the staff are super friendly and very helpful. The restaurant offers good pub food and the beer is well kept all in all very nice place.

Stayed 2 nights in this Old English Inn hotel. Accommodation was good except the room was unusually small, especially the bathroom. The bed was small, with little romm either side of the bed to get in or out. It was v comfortable though. The bathroom was exceedingly small, with just enough room between the sink and door to stand up!... More

We stopped off by boat to visit this pub on an outing from St Ives on a lovely day in May. The service was good and friendly, the menu looked good, and there was a huge choice of drinks. The pub has a great atmosphere inside and a wonderful riverside area outside

It would be hard to stumble upon the The Old Ferry Boat by chance. It is rather out of the way but worth every bit of effort to get there. There is an old stone slab in the floor which marks the grave of a lovesick girl who took her life beside the river nearby. When the pub was enlarged... More
