We had been booked into another hotel, but due to a mix-up, we were unable to stay there, so we were unexpectedly moved to Cliveden. We were given a gorgeous suite (Queen Charlotte). Our elation turned to severe disappointment, however, when we tried to sleep. Apparently the contracters working on the property had left some machine running at full blast... More

Let me firstly apologise for such a long review. This is a beautiful hotel that has lots of history in a great setting with wonderful gardens. Two swimming pools one indoor and one outside both at a perfect temperature. Booked this hotel as a surprise for my husbands birthday. Sent an email later booking restaurants stating it was my husbands... More

Well what can I say. From driving down the impressive drive, through to a butler coming out immediately to take your luggage and a driver taking your keys and parking the car for you so you can go immediately to your room has to be the most efficient way to relax from the moment you arrive. The rooms and the... More

My partner purchased a voucher as a gift to use at Cliveden....and decided to book afternoon tea on the boat which is much advertised.Firstly this was hard to execute as no one appeared to know how to do this...and no one called back. Eventually the booking was made and sadly on arrival it was pointed out that they had taken... More

We live in Sweden and stayed here for a 4 day break recently and were in the Winde room (classic/modern). This is a place where you can disappear from life in London as if you are in another world. It's expensive but worth it. The best bits: - Very calm, relaxed and professional service - you never see a member... More

The room was stunning with beautiful chandeliers. The tables were arranged so that everyone was private. The food was delicious and the service very attentive. The view over the terrace to the gardens and countryside beyond was amazing.

A belated Happy Birthday from me and I am pleased to read that your tea with us helped make your day special. The view over the Parterre is hard to beat, you can stare into the distance and really soak up a sense of place. Thank you for writing to us. Kind regards Sue W More

Cliveden House is a beautiful place. Even more beautiful are the staff. When you arrive, have Mark take your bags, Michael handle your activities, and Natalie care for you at reception. They are efficient, kind, and caring beyond measure.

This place is stunning. the gardens the rooms and the common areas. it feels great to stay here and a privilege. I have stayed in many the same caliber however that don't have as friendly and informative staff as they do here at Cliveden. so it is worth every penny. only blot on the horizon would be the plumbing in... This is a small hotel-- only 34 rooms-- but every room has a name and many years of history. We stayed in the T.E. Lawrence room. The decor is gorgeous, museum quality. There are tapestries and sets of armour in the reception area, where high tea is served in the afternoons. The rose gardens were in full bloom, with some... More

Our rose garden is just about the most romantic spot you will find and the timing of your visit was just perfect. Glad you went exploring the garden and found it. Thank you for taking a moment to review us. As a "rule" I wouldn't correct our guests but just to say we have 48 fully refurbished and beautiful rooms.... More

My mum and I are very lucky to be able to get a booking at Cliveden yesterday and absolutely loved our stay. The room was incredible and the service, as always was unbeatable. We enjoyed our day in the Spa and spent the evening eating at André Garrett's restaurant. The food was second to none, by far the best meal... More
