We stayed at the Old Palace Lodge having travelled a long distance to get to Dunstable on Sunday 30th May. The receptionist Jennifer went out of her way to give us such a beautiful stay in a lovely room and accommodating our breakfast requests as due to Covid restrictions they only give a breakfast bap with yoghurt, coffee and croissant. She was friendly and absolutely wonderful. She is a credit to the hotel. The room was a deluxe king with beautiful decor throughout. I loved the little attention to detail-floor lighting in the bathroom to avoid turning on the bathroom night at night. The shower itself was large with a rainfall shower. We had dinner the night before and the burger and beef were beautiful cooked. All in all Very impressed with their level of customer service and friendliness.

Some may have rose tinted glasses in relation to The Old Palace Lodge, because my first date with my wife was here, BUT - I genuinely love this place. Over the last 5/6 years we've stayed here many times, staying in either their Executive rooms or on Anniversary's - The Anne of Cleves Suite. The 4 poster bed, huge bath in the room - or if you prefer, there is a wet room instead. The staff are always well presented, extremely helpful and friendly and he food really is an excellent standard as well. I highly recommend a stay here, even if it's a stay before heading to Luton Airport for a holiday away or a business trip. We'll be back again, that's for sure.

My husband and I came here for a weekend away in September, gorgeous rooms, and very clean! Staff were lovely too! Would 100% recommend for a weekend away. The restaurant was very well presented and the staff were lovely, very attentive but not too much in your face, was great service

This hotel is stunning, really nice decor throughout and the bar area is very cosy, the rooms are spacious and modern. Plenty of car parking also! The only negative is that the walls are VERY thin! We were woken up during the night by people going in and out of rooms and also having conversations in the corridor, we were then woken up at 7.30am on Saturday by people in their rooms and kids crying!

I know times are different currently but not the best stay we have had. Not great room allocation unfortunately. Breakfast was a “takeaway” breakfast bap to sit and eat in the bar area, why they couldn’t do table service for breakfast as they did for dinner? Outside, the garden which is usually beautiful could do with a bit of maintenance, shame. Staff are thankfully friendly and attentive still
