Reading the reviews we were not expecting a lot apart from a clean room as you tend to get for what you paid for but apart from being outdated there were some major flaws with the place. The pictures first of all look a lot better then reality e.g. the pool in it's current state is not at all inviting...

We had booked a 4 night stay in late December at this hotel, but had to leave after one night. The main problem we had was the noise - there were children running and yelling into the early hours of the morning, other clients standing outside our room talking, and loud music being played in neighbouring buildings. Our second issue...

I booked this hotel as a base to explore chitzen itza and i was pleasantly surprised when i arrived to find a beautiful, classy hotel. The rooms could use some updating but overall it's a nice place located right on the main plaza.

Maria de la Luz hotel is super central, being on the main plaza. Everything (bus/colectivos/shops/restaurants/free town tour/tourist info office). Staff is attentive, room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable too. I would recommend this hotel for a good price deal.

My room was at the end of a dark area on the second floor. The room had 3 beds and a bathroom. The shower head provided great pressure. There is a large, fantastic pool in the hotel with an open roof. A restaurant is located inside the hotel as well. Also the where they provide free breakfast to guests of...

Hotel is located right At the main square and offers free parking. Shops, attractions and restaurants are At a walking distance. Rooms are ugly and noisy needing a renovation badly. Staff is kind but uninformed about attractions . Desperatly needs new management.

The hotel is located only 2 blocks from ADO bus terminal and right at the central square Zocalo. So, you can't beat the location. The rooms are small and very average. Like your average motel 6. But everything was clean, including the bathroom. No linens were old, but clean. Again, I don't mind staying in the budget hotels since we...

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. It is right in the main plaza and a 5 minute walk from cenote zaci and ADO bus station. It has a nice restaurant and breakfast buffet at extra cost. The room was clean with a nice bed, mini fridge TV and a view of the central pool and garden. The bathrooms were...

Worn Linens-Indifferent Front Desk-Sporadic Hot Water, but ... we keep coming back! You may have to steal a chair from the hallway, but sitting in a small balcon literally on top of the square while enjoying a copa de vino and breathing in the soul of this "Pueblo Magico" tends to put life's priorities in perspective. Food in downstairs restaurant...

This is a budget hotel. It's okay, though, and has a nice bar and tables in the lobby. The rooms were basic but fine for a night. The airco and internet worked well. We didn't pay much, so we were fine with what we got. The morning breakfast was good with lots of Mexican choices. I liked staying on the...
