Set just a few blocks from both the main square and bus station, this hostal had a quiet, airy courtyard centre, and clean, spacious rooms overlooking it. The bathroom was stocked with towels and toiletries and my room had a small balcony area. The staff were helpful, but had limited English. Not cheap compared to dorm room hostels, but well... More

We stayed here for three nights (probably enough in Valladolid, depending on your agenda). The hotel is clean and well run. We didn't try the rooftop breakfast area. Thought it might be a bit hot in the sun. Good budget choice.

We thought we had been booked into a "bare bones" type of hotel without amenities. We were with a birding watching group for a one night stay. A group organizer had booked us here so we never bothered to check out the place online. The staff was very courteous; the open courtyard with a large, inviting pool was very pleasant;... More

When you first walk into the hotel, it looks all quaint and 'colonial' (as the name suggests), with the rooms around a nice swimming pool, but cast your eye upwards and there is a fab and quite modern sun terrace on the roof, which I would have missed if I didn't notice the edge of the jacuzzi's poking out over... I stayed here for a couple of nights and found it to be OK and of reasonable value. My room was clean, though towels were threadbare and had rust stains. The bathroom was fine with a decent hot water supply (once you leave the shower running for several minutes). Wifi was a little hit and miss and a lot of... More

We stayed here a couple of nights and found the hotel to be adequate. We found the room to be a bit grubby, although not really unclean. The towels were threadbare in spots and the sheets were stained, although I believed them to be washed :) Rust stains maybe? The staff were courteous but not particularly friendly or warm. The... We came here for two nights and ended up spending a week. Our room was large and clean with a/c and an overhead fan that worked just fine. There was a nice pool and terrace. A good breakfast was available on the pleasant rooftop. Free wifi and secure parking were an added bonus. We thought the staff were very pleasant... More

Our room was very big, value for money. Good position, close to the centre and in a quiet neighborhood. Unluckily no breakfast. Big swimming pool in the beautiful patio. I would recommend it for your stay in Valladolid.

Wonderful, reasonably, quiet place to stay. Nice room, comfortable bed. 2 blocks to the city square. Awesome internet. The city itself is wonderful, being a Pueblo Magico. Close to Chitzen Itza, cenotes etc.

What I liked: The pool courtyard is gorgeous as evidence by the pictures others have posted and it does in fact look like the picture, perhaps even nicer in person. The pool was quiet when we were there and no one ever took a dip despite how inviting it looked. The rooms were big and spacious. The A/C gets iced... More
