My wife found this Hotel on Booking.com, we booked 2 nights. The designated parking but holds only about three cars so I had to park my beautiful car on the street for two nights. Upon arrival, they did not have anyone to help us with our suitcases. The front steps are very steep and hard to climb with luggage. The front desk clerk was friendly but didn't speak English, she did help us with our luggage. We had a room on the 1st floor, it was very small and dark, no lamps by the bed to read, a tiny bathroom, no mini fridge, a coffee maker that is about to die, no glasses in the bathroom, they us glass bottles to hold the shampoo in, if they were the phone break that would be a big mess. Then we went for a swim,I took a fall on the very Slippery steps in the pool, after our swim, we took a the well needed siesta, only to hear Dripping coming from the A/C unit, it was driving us crazy, we had to stay on that room for that night and the mattresses are horrendous they are very uncomfortable. On the 2nd night they moved us to the 2nd floor to a larger room, but now the door lock was broken, and not safe at all, see the photos, Security here is not their biggest concern all the rooms have old locks, they can easily be broken into. We had to wait the full day until they move us to the second room, if this was my hotel, I would have gave the night for free, but didn't offer us nothing, nada, zilch! The headboard was not secured to the wall, so every time you moved in bed, it banged against wall, God only knows what the neighbors next door were thinking. And in both rooms, they give you only 2 hangers to hang your clothes on. The goods points: Close to down town Cold A/Cs Hot showers Good rates Friendly staff Free Wi-Fi Bad points: No bellmen to help with luggage Very steep steps to enter the building. Very low security door locks Old coffee makers No mini fridge No hangers No bed lamp No glasses for bathroom Very unsafe pool steps Not enough parking spots in the parking lot. And believe it or not they do not accept credit cards. Loose headboards Chef Bob Lissandrello Yucatan Food Critic

The location is on a quiet street but 5 minutes walk to the town square and about 10 minutes to the bus station. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic but so clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely and so relaxing to eat breakfast there. Breakfast options were good for hotels in Mexico (toast, jam) and also had some cakes and fruits as well as orange juice and coffee. Would highly recommend and return The only thing is the shower pressure was super soft, pretty hard to rinse off and I didn’t try to wash my hair as it would have been really hard

If a room has a window but that window just leads to a dak coridor so you don't actually see anything it means that it has no window. Technical yes, practical no. In the pictures the place looks ok but in reality it is not that nice.

Very nice hotel located 200m from city center. Typical mexican atmosphere, lot of traditional decorations. The building of the Hotel used to be a Church - there are still a lot of religious decoration. Poor breakfast, few toast with jam and cup of orange juice and/or cofee. Excellent service, the place is very nice and clean. All of this for very very good price. I recommend this hotel as a good base to visitting Valladilid City and its surrounding (eg. Chitchen Itza).

A modest, clean place with lovely gardens. Refreshing swimming pool and yummy continental breakfast (you get chocolate cake, along with the other standards). Friendly staff, comfy beds. I give it a "very good" because for the price it was indeed. Not a fancy, shmancy place, but great value and location.
