The diving/snorkeling instructors there are awesome! Super friendly, know the sea and help you where they can. Take you out to the reef on a catamaran. The beach is cleaned daily which is needed with the seaweed. Distant from the rest of mahuahal, you need a car to go there.

Had booked 4 nights in advance since it was a high season, ended up staying 5 so I could go to dive in Banco chinchurro. Chatted with Luis and Luciana through Facebook before arriving, already felt very welcome before even meeting them! Accommodation: Since I traveled alone, had to book a whole cabana just for myself so I felt it... More

Luis and Luciana were just awesome!!! They proposed several activities at The sea. We chose to Dive. Next morning They Went to pick us up On time at our place and took us to a great diving Spot! We saw plenty of colorful tropical fish, lobsters, and even turtles! Then chilled by The Beach afterwards. Had a wonderful morning at... More

We arrived just with the storm. Nobody can control the weather, but once there, we discovered that there would be no food either. Violeta, Luis and Lucia did their best to fix us with some drinks and pizza from town for the first night, but we really should have been told that the restaurant would be closed. During the stormy... More

We arrived unannounced late in the afternoon and were lucky to find one cabaña still available. Luxurious it is not, this is the place for people who want to escape it all, who place more importance on the beauty of their surroundings in perfectly adequate accommodation. Added bonuses were the fabulous in house Italian chef and the wonderful hosts who... More

We spent 8 days in this wonderful place and enjoyed every moment of it. From relaxing on the beach with one of Antonio's great shakes, to discovering the coral reef with wonderful Luciana. The cabins were very unique and romantic, great fresh breakfast, and the pastas and risottos were excellent and very recommended. Canoes are available all day which is... More

We spent six nights at Kabah-na and we really appreciated the complete friendliness of Renato, Marta, and Marcos--who prepared great food and generally were super friendly. Whenever we needed something (transportation to Bacalar, an extra towel, etc.) we were completely attended to. Renato and Marta, in particular, really worked hard to make our stay a good one. Marcos cooks surprisingly... More
