Coqui Coqui has five residencies in Yucatan, Coba is currently the biggest with 3 Suites and 2 rooms. Others in Valladolid, Izamal and Merida have a one suite only concept. And you should see all of them, as a guest or to taste the fragrances. When in Coba, don’t come for lunch as many of you write here, you really have to stay there. We absolutely loved it. And not only there. The one suite concept of the other properties is just stunning and nowhere else to find. All properties are easy to combine within a 1-1,5 h drive between, so you would directly have a place to stay when you visit Yucatán’s famous towns and attractions. But it’s really hard to leave the beautifully styled suites. We lost the fight and jumped into the private plunge pools. Highly recommended to start in Coba, followed by Valladolid (Coqui La Perfumeria and Meson de Malleville - 250m walking distance), after we went to Izamal (Coqui Casa de los Santos) and ended up in Mérida (Coqui Coqui L‘Epicerie) Two nights in each property are perfect, if you don’t have that time, one in each Coqui in Valladolid can also be fine. It’s a dream to have your own boutique Suite, packed with incredible good scents and cordial staff who take fantastic care of you. Enough said, Insta will love your Coqui pics. We will be back soon. Thank you for the amazing and unique experience. Thank you all of the staff! M+G

I stayed at the hotel 3 nights while escaping Covid in the US. I give a lot of leeway to the tourism sector during these challenging times and for the most part my stay was wonderful. The highlights were the bed (heaven), the spa treatment (one of best I've ever had) and the food, all fresh and delicious. The pools were pretty great too. The ruins were closed and there isn't much to do otherwise, so I basically hung out at the pool all day. Service was good, but not always as attentive as I would hope for a high end property (again, forgivable in these times), the tub is literally life threatening and I cannot imagine who greenlit it. There are lots of areas to chill, the architecture is unique and fits perfectly with the location. I loved the welcome gift bag filled with CC fragrances and I highly recommend the gift shop. Overall great stay and I may be back since I didn't get to see the ruins.

We visit the hotel for lunch and spa because the hotel rooms have been fully booked on request. We try to call all morning to reserve the spa without success. After one hour's drive from Tulum, we visit a place to See the architecture and admire the view of the lake, because we hear that it is beautiful. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrive, when we go outside, run to us a hotel employ asking to turn off the cameras and remove photos since owner of the hotel "Do Not alowde pictures of his hotel and earia" (?!) When we entered the spa, no one worked there and reception inform that someone would come in hour... We were treated very badly by the hotel staff, waiting an hour for a drink in the restaurant, and then after emply inform others about our tryied of take Pictures outside we were obsarvated and follow as we would do Something bad by taking photos or try to ENJOY the visit ... We did not feel welcome there and soon after this accident quickly decide to quick the idea for lunch in the restaurant and stay inside. We try to went for a walk around the hotel through one of the hotel doors and on the way we went stopped again by an employee asking not to climb these stairs because it has a window in the hotel rooms and we can disturb the view of hotel guests... The whole visit was a shocking bad experience for us, and the long trip to See the Place was not wart it. The lake is not part of the hotel and photography can't be prohibited as attitiude by hotel staff should be So poor. We felt that this place is very snobby and not friendly to visitors at all.

I was so blown away by this property. I love the rooms but be careful, the bathrooms have no doors. There is a front and back balcony and both have hammocks. The room and poolside towels are black which I love. The bed is very comfy. I enjoyed the food but wish there were more vegetarian and vegan options. I stayed for one night and it was worth it. The couples massage was divine and so romantic. Make sure you pick up perfume. We bought so many. I would definitely come back here again.
