A hidden gem BEYOND just words
Coqui Coqui is a hidden gem boutique perfumery, hotel & spa that has all the modern conveniences set in an other worldly time. Its positioned with a lakefront view in the quaint & charming town of Coba just walking distance from the Mayan ruins, a few kilometers from 3 Cenotes, & close to a chocolate & honey tour. At reception, the host kindly offers your choice of scents for your own personalized liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner to use during your stay. We were mind blown with our 2 story villa which had an upstairs master bed & bath with 2 verandas, a changing room with private staircase down to a shower and tub. The lower level had 2 beds with individual bathrooms & verandas for our teenagers along with an outdoor stone plunge pool. This of course became our daily coffee, breakfast, lunch family hangout area! Jose took excellent care in serving us exquisite chef prepared cuisine for breakfast, lunch & dinners. Every morning & evening he brought knowledge, smiles, singing & energy to the experience. The spa is phenomenal & unlike any other we have experienced. We opted for the 3hr couples treatment with a full body sugar scrub, honey treatment wrap & massage with a relaxing flower petal herb & coconut milk bath at the end.

    The Best in the Yucatan
Coming from Nomade Tulum, staying here was like heaven. We had such a bad Tulum experience that we wished we had just stayed here for 4 nights instead of just 1. The entire place smells so good, none of that irritating, cloying smell. They also immediately gave us an upgrade as our honeymoon gift. The room was just exquisite and the view breathtaking. We were also very impressed by the service they provided. They were there to serve without expecting anything in return. The cocktails were delish and food scrumptious. They can serve the food anywhere in the property and not just serve, they even place table cloths and candles! Everything they do here, they do out of love. We swam a bit at one of the plunge pools and of course shopped in the boutique, which is a must! I can’t believe they even give you around $100 worth of products as part of the room! The mini bar was complete and reasonably priced too. My husband says this is as the best stay out of our entire 2 week Mexico trip and we’re looking forward to go back to chill as the place is just amazing. It’s also like a 5 minute walk to the ruins. My only wish is they reply faster via email whenever there are inquiries as I’ve been inquiring about their other properties. I want to stay at ALL of them. We really loved it!! All the other trying hard places in Tulum should come here and learn what luxury truly is!

Unique and luxurious experience in the jungle
I stayed at the hotel 3 nights while escaping Covid in the US. I give a lot of leeway to the tourism sector during these challenging times and for the most part my stay was wonderful. The highlights were the bed (heaven), the spa treatment (one of best I've ever had) and the food, all fresh and delicious. The pools were pretty great too. The ruins were closed and there isn't much to do otherwise, so I basically hung out at the pool all day. Service was good, but not always as attentive as I would hope for a high end property (again, forgivable in these times), the tub is literally life threatening and I cannot imagine who greenlit it. There are lots of areas to chill, the architecture is unique and fits perfectly with the location. I loved the welcome gift bag filled with CC fragrances and I highly recommend the gift shop. Overall great stay and I may be back since I didn't get to see the ruins.

This was a splurge for us, but we were happy we did. The setting on the lake is beautiful. The buildings and structures feel and look like a cross between Mayan and a hacienda, although it’s just past a decade old. Ou room was sumptuous, with the customized scented shampoos and conditioner we selected upon checkin. We only stayed one night, but two would have been better. With two pools, plenty of lounging space and a nice restaurant, you won’t need to leave, except to visit the nearby ruins.

We stayed for 3 nights to kick off our honeymoon and it was amazing! We arrived late at night and they sorted out some lovely food in the room for us. We also received our complimentary perfumes and had the most wonderful couples massage. The location is amazing to explore from and we took the hotels advice and hired a car and had just the best time. The food in our opinion was fantastic and the breakfast was perfect. Would 100% recommend!

We only came there for lunch after busting Coba. The hotel looks beautiful, very nice shop and perfumes as well. The restaurant staff is very friendly however the food is not at the level of the hotel in our opinion but great experience overall. Worth it for a quick lunch with air conditioning.

The Coqui Coqui concept is magical. This hotel is an absolute gem, hidden away on a peaceful lagoon just a stones throw from incredible Maya Ruins. We were treated with luxury from the moment we arrived with complimentary drinks and a tour of their perfumes to select a scent for our complimentary amenities. The atmosphere is tranquil, the architecture and scenery breathtaking. The rooms are extremely comfortable with great views and bath! The spa treatment (hot stones) was one of the best we've had. The restaurant food does not match the hotel for luxury, but it was still very adequate. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to couples!

The coqui coqui concept is beautiful, the products are good and the hotel is clean and comfortable however it attracts people who are mostly there for social media likes. It is a little tired and could do with a sprucing up. The pool is as very cool but a bit too conceptual, so you couldn’t really swim - and the plunge pool could have done with a bit of a clean. The staff were very polite, welcoming and we felt the service was very good - they, along with the view were the highlight. I wouldn’t have stayed there for more than two nights as there isn’t much to do.

It was perfect from arrival to departure! Our flight was delayed so we arrived at night instead of in the evening, we informed the hotel by telephone and the receptionist waited for us, although there is no 24/7 service. Since we came so late, he put dinner in the fridge for us. - How caring and loving is that?! Thanks again! The 2 days were fantastic. Very quiet, breakfast was possible on your own apartment terrace. One of the nicest breakfasts I've ever had. Luckily only people looking for peace and quiet, no children. I'm in love! Thank you for this nice stay

This beautiful secluded hideaway was without a doubt a highlight of our trip. So welcome after staying in Tulum. There are only 5 rooms, the service was impeccable so attentive. We stayed with our 1 year old daughter .. it’s amazing to find somewhere so beautiful and quiet that also caters to children. We spent 3 nights here and so happy we had a few days here to chill and relax. Coba ruins are 10 mins walk away and so lovely and peaceful compared to Chichen Itzá. I love that the hotel lets you choose the scent for your amenities (shampoo, conditioner, soap, perfume etc) that you can take home. The whole hotel smells incredible as it’s a perfumery. All of the food we ate was delicious .. we were able to eat in the restaurant, lounge, pool and on our terrace with the full menu which was lovely given we had a young child. We stayed in a Laguna room which had beautiful views our to the lagoon and had a balcony and private lounge terrace which was perfect when our daughter was asleep in the room. We both used the spa which is a must.. so relaxing and really good quality treatments and incredible value. The only thing I could fault about the place was the occasional strange smell coming from the toilet.. and that I didn’t take a bag big enough to take more of their products home with me.
