Well, this was my 12th trip to this resort and there will be many more. The staff here is amazing and do there very best to make your stay the best it can be. Things have changed a little bit due to the covid issues around the world but this place is still the best place to be. The entertainment is great, rock shows, 80's show, magic shows, circus shows, Rock the city, and many more. The entertainment group in great and keep you busy for anyone that likes to participate. The food is good and the restaurants are great. all the drinks are good, not cheap booze like many other resorts. There is always something goin on, always something to eat or drink and music in the air everywhere. This is my favorite place to visit. Looking forward to my next visit this April. Pay no attention to these people on here with their negative comments, i know for sure many are untrue. This place is somewhere you will be glad you came.

Second time I have stayed at this hotel and standards have dropped but we are in the middle of a global pandemic and the hotel is operating on short staff so I guess that is to be expected. My only negatives were that when we checked into out room it was full of mosquitos and the floor was dirty, definitely had not been cleaned after the last guest checked out. The quality of the drinks were very poor so we decided to buy our own alcohol from the hotel shop and add it to the hotel soft drinks and cocktails to give them more of a hit The buffet was repetitive but enough selection to satisfy paticulary loved the burgers, chicken and the rice. Swim up bars not open but no problem just get your drink from the pool bar and jump in. Coba beach section tiny and far too crowded so we went once and that was it Highlight of our hol was jumping on a collectivo( highway outside hacienda) and going to akumal beach to snorkel with sea turtles and stingrays All staff were very friendly. Take plenty mosquito spray!

This was our second time staying at this resort, First time was years ago and we are disappointed to see the rooms have not been updated. The rooms are pretty comfortable but the furniture could use some updating. Some electrical outlets were not functioning properly and made charging mobile phones a challenge. Customer service was subpar at the check-in counter. Vey poor service received from Nereyda on 2 separate occasions. She should be given some customer service training or perhaps she is not in the right position. The buffet waiters were very helpful and made every meal as pleasant as possible. With regards to the buffet, the desserts were not good at all. I usually love dessert and passed on dessert all week. The rest of the food was fine. There was several options available. If you are not familiar with the resort, you should know Coba is not beachfront, you need to take transportation to the beach at Akumal Resort. Once at Akumal, you may not request drinks at the bar or eat at the buffet, which means that once you travel to the beach, you are left without the possibility of enjoying your all-inclusive benefits. There is only one tiny bar on the beach who will serve you as a Coba client and all Coba clients have to use that one and only bar. Very inconvenient and not at all the expected all-inclusive experience we expected. Also, as we were lounging on the beach one day, a hotel staff came to tell us that we were lounging on chairs reserved for Akumal clients and tried to get us to get up and go search for another location on the beach! We were not aware of this prior to booking. Also we would recommend extreme sanitary precaution. We wore masks all week and disinfected our hands regularly but ended up catching Covid on our 5th day at the resort. So overall a poor experience. We would not recommend this resort and will unfortunately not be returning.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay but changes restricting access to faciltiies will keep us from goign back. Coba needs updating and managment needs to restore access to Tulm faciltiies and beach. Several swim up bars were not open why? Coba beach needs a snack bar. Food and service from bar and restaurant staff was great. The mixers from soda fountain for drinks is poor quality makes some drinks taste bad you need to use real 7up, cola products etc. and add more beer options. The a la carte restaurants are good and staff bar and restaurant are great especially Sandra at Terrace Bar and Alfredo and Palmero at buffet.

There are three types of travellers. You have those who wear masks and disposable gloves as requested by Bahia staff, those who cover and wear a mask on their mouth but choose to leave their nose uncovered, and those who just don’t care if you get Covid. This resort, cancun airport, and the world in general have all types in varying percentages. I would say the vast majority of vacationers want to do what they can to stop the spread, but a few are just ignorant about various requirements different countries have, and an equal number don’t think masking achieves anything. I found myself staring down at the few people at the Bahia buffet who were unmasked. It sometimes worked. The employees of this resort are doing a great job. They have taken all precautions and steps to stop the spread of covid. The resort is immaculate and clean. The grounds and landscaping are excellent. The Indian restaurant is amazing, both the tandoori chicken and lamb with naan were on par with quality Indian restaurant food available elsewhere. We know what is good Indian food, so hats off to the chef Abhishek for a great operation. The rooms are fine and this resort deserves a high rating. The air conditioning in the room does not improve air comfort. Sometimes it is better to just turn it off. Better dehumidification would be very welcome. Lastly, I have a message for the few people out there walking around unmasked in indoor settings in the resort. Please stay home. I don’t care what your excuse or belief or “scientific” reason is. Governments make rules for a reason. Stop trying to impose your views on everyone else who is following the rules. Btw there is a building where the infected people get quarantined. Not difficult to find it. Some of you are the cause of ruined vacations. Own it.
