I love reading other review. Had to laugh at the previous review, 1 star. Are you used to staying in 6 star hotels in dubai? The cups are too small? wtf. order 2 drinks at once then. They recently reopened again. The swim up bar is ioen, and they had pool side servers offering drinks. The whole staff here is amazing. There is three pools, the lively main pool, the one near the kiddies pool, and one if you like to be by yourself, with double beds to lay on. There is a snack bar with full liquor. There are no paper snack menus as everything is touchless. Everything can be accessed on your phone. You can also order on screen at the snack bar. Food there was excellent. Ala cartes were very good. Only negative I found was that food needed to be kept a little warmer on the buffer. Pools are huge, and I have not been to a resort that had two beach towel places. This one is right as soon as you leave the main lobby. Doesn't seem like a big deal to have to walk there like the previous review said. wifi worked everywhere by the pools but not on the beach. Would I go back? Definitely. I've been the before too. The newly renovated rooms are fabulous. If you want a quiet romantic getaway, or a family vacation, or a party vacation, you can have whatever you want here

I just wrote this to give anyone considering this place for a vacation a heads up. I have vacationed in many resorts from the west and east coast of Mexico. this is the first resort where the novelty is to basically fend for yourself. It was neat and tidy. The decor reminded me of the resort where those teens from Saved by the Bell used to work. Call for any extra towels if two are not enough for you. Bring an outlet bar in case you have more than one item to charge. There is no pool side service. no waiters for drink delivery, and no menus for snacks or any kind of food services. I asked where i could get a bottled water and was told I would have to use the water from my room or use room service to have it delivered, okay no biggie I'll burn a few more calories and walk back to my room to get bottled water. The pool bar looks fun but cups provided are a bit small. i noticed guests taking there own full size beverage containers to avoid several trips to the bar (which had a continuous long line)maybe its customary to encourage you to get to know someone new while you wait together, I'm a extrovert. Later walking by the gift shop i noticed they sold those large beverage containers... ah yes, leverage. i guess they wanted to make sure you didn't leave without a souvenir. At 1:30 pm they did set up a delicious ceviche bar but it was first come first serve. they are nice enough to set up a dirty station so you can bus your own tableware. Im sure it was a friendly reminder that your Mom doesn't work here, please pick up after yourself, "look Mom, I did it." She would approve. The spa was quaint, clean and quiet. I was a bit disappointed that the beautiful jacuzzi fountain was bone dry and not cascading its waters like in the webpage picture. The spa staff are professionals and make sure to inform you about the massage specials after your initial appointment is over in case you want to return. There are plenty of restaurants about, i just stuck to the easy buffet which was delightfully full of delicious choices. The lovely young hostess will point you in the direction of an available table, her job is to smile and greet guests not escort you. No worries, I can follow finger pointing directions, I'm from the AAA and Thomas Guide generation. Oh the entertainment. Show business is a hard industry. I can appreciate the courage it takes to show off ones talents, and the resort seems very lenient about not wasting time with auditions. Afterall, everyone's gotta start somewhere. So this resort is surrounded by jungle. Get your cameras ready At dusk, some of the wildlife wonder through the resort doing what wildlife does despite that we are in their way. I asked one of the local staff what they were, he was eager to point and name them and proceeded to tell me that "we eat those" with a smile. Alrighty then, me smiling back hearing a needle scratch across an album trying to remember if I had eaten anything strange from the buffet. Spoiler alert, I lived. I was grateful for my experiences. I checked to see if there was availability to leave on a bus the next day...nothing. alright I can do this, One more day of adventure, pull up my big girl pants, think. 1.Do not disturb sign on the door, 2. stay up late to purposely sleep in and avoid part of the day, 3.go to the beach. Staying up late was not a problem. I used to be a great party person (I think I still am) guests will be guests sober or not, its to be expected, I totally understand I'm not prudy. The hotel staff seem to enjoy making a nice loud ruckus themselves as they drive guests back and forth in golf carts playing music loudly as they "cruise" through the hotel buildings. I'm glad everyone's having a good time, at 1:30 am. Finally exhaustion took over and I did finally fall into a cozy sleep. Enjoying breakfast the next morning and feeling content it sadden me to overhear a waiter tell his comrade how people are quick to want things but fail to leave a tip. Pardon me sir but I do appreciate you, my gratuities are a reflection. and my apologies for those who make you feel negatively about your work. Onward to a day at the beach. No service here either. The good news is you can go to the snack bar and have lunch there but you are aloud to bring a tiny cup beverage with you on the beach, no food. Oh i forgot to mention the towel service. I had to burn some extra calories because the only station for towels is by the main lobby. At least my legs will get a workout, now i dont feel guilty about having dessert last night. Wish i had gotten that new fitbit in time, there was a lot of tracking going on here.

We have been to the Grand Bahia Principe Tulum 4 times and love it there. The resort is laid out so that you are not far away from basically anything. .buffets, alacarte restaurants bars, swimming pools and the Beautiful Sea. Last time was for our 40th Wedding Anniversary October 2019 renewed our vows at the Gazebo. .Carlos and Rosie did a fabulous job. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hats off to Guan, William, Carlos, Katie , the animation teams..all of these people are an asset to the resort. There attention to the guests is gold star. We are hoping to return once Covid19 moves out of the way. Thanks Grand Bahia Principe Tulum we will be back soon to see the completed new concept.

Like most holidays there will always be things that need improvement, repair and/or updating. This was our 1st All inclusive holiday. I'm not one for laying around the pool or beach all day. I get itchy feet of I'm not doing something. But there was plenty to keep even me occupied/interested. Daytime activities & displays. Free bus to jewellery shop, tequila shop & on to Cancun. Hacienda - with its shops and bars. Spa treatments. Use of jacuzzi pools*over 18's only, at the Coba (where we spent a lot of our time in the day as my husband doesn't swim) My plus points 1, The endless amount of lizards and other wildlife on the grounds (I love lizards) 2, The rep's area where you can pick up free suncreams, books, mosquito spray and other titbits holidaymakers left behind. 3, Plenty of space in the jacuzzi pools. 4, Bahia Rock band (these lads were honestly great) 5, No issues finding a sunbed around the pools or beach. 6, NFL on TV all day every day. Like I said nowhere is without its occasional problems. At the time these were my niggles; 1, Wet seat cushions in dining area (staff not to blame, holiday makers sitting to eat in pool wear to blame) 2, The smashing of dropping plates every meal time (accidents happen) 3, Sitting for breakfast one morning - cutlery took ages to arrive even after we had been up for food, took so long even Edwin was apologising for the delay. As the holiday went on the standard of service in the buffet restaurant declined.  Waiters never came to take drinks orders, when they did they either took ages in coming back, sometimes with the wrong drinks, if at all. Ordered soft drink & coffee - got 2 beers after 30mins of waiting. 4, Beach bar - information said bar opened 10am, by 11am the bar was still no where near ready to open. One day Miguel in the beach bar had problems with his beer (2 barrels nothing but froth) 5, Don Pablo - no space to book.  But it was closed some nights (this was not told to us before hand) Just a suggestion, once the nights you are due to open become fully booked, then why not open an additional night. (We did book 2 of the restaurants available 1, GRAN TORTUGA-RODIZIO RESTAURANT. 2, TEQUILA RESTAURANT) 6, Be aware, after 2 weeks of no trainers, went to put them on to come home and they were covered in mould due to the constant moisture in the air - a natural occurrence. Despite any of my niggles, I will definitely be back to stay.

We stayed here in September 2019 for 2 weeks as a couple. The hotel is huge and comprises 4 different resorts, Tulum, Coba, Akumal and Sian Ka’an. We stayed at Tulum. The hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean 24/7. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels etc and your fridge re-stocked with things like pop and spirits. There are a number of pools to choose from, all again, spotlessly clean. One has a swim up bar which is really nice. There is entertainment and activities daily at the pool and the staff make sure you’re all involved! The foam pool party was brilliant as well as the colour party on the beach straight after it!! Buffet restaurants are huge, it doesn’t matter what your tastes are you’ll find something trust me. I loved having nachos and chilli sauce for breakfast!!! Depending on your package you can book a number of a la carte’s per week. We went to 6 in total and each one was exceptional, you really should try and visit some. We had no issue getting sun beds, there were plenty to go around no matter what time of day it was. The beach is also on the resort and well maintained. You get a lovely breeze most days which makes the heat more bearable. As we went in September the temperature and humidity were through the roof. As soon as you leave your room you’re wet with the humidity, but it’s such a lovely climate. We loved it that much we have booked to return to the Sian Ka’an next August and can’t wait. If you thinking of booking here, don’t hesitate, you’ll have the time of your life!!! Feel free if you want to ask any questions, I’ll do by best to answer.
