Stayed for 3 nights as part of a touring holiday. We had ground floor room in the small main block, which was right on the beach. Room was fine although we didn't spend much time in it to be honest. The onsite restaurant was excellent for evening meal although somewhat pricey. The bar was cheaper and also fine for food....

Simple tile rooms, comfy king size bed, great a/c and ceiling fan. Nice organic toiletries. Fridge, purified water dispenser, coffee pot, cups and glasses. Very eco friendly resort. Recycling bins in your room..Very important to this beautiful area of the Caribbean. If you go south you will see the massive amounts of plastic that washes up on the beaches...Tulum, Punta...

We loved our casita at Play Caribe. We stayed in casita Annette which is on the end of the building. It had a great kitchen and appliances. The bed is kind of small and lumpy. but the couch was nice. Augustine the manager was very helpful, has great English, and rented us bikes with good locks and good basket. Also...

This was my 4th visit to this property and my 6th to Akumal. The hotel also owns or rents the bungalow but we always stay in the small hotel (20 rooms?). The location can't be beat nor the service. The rooms all face the water and each has a balcony or patio. The rooms are a nice size and very...

We rented the Bungalow at Hotel Akumal Caribe. Do not rent the bungalow if you are thinking of spending most of your day indoors. It was comfortable to back to after all day snorkeling experience in the waters. Not a huge area to snorkle in but kept me busy for our 3 night stay at Hotel Akumal Caribe. The restaurant...

Love, love, love this place. It is quiet and clean and lovely. If you are rowdy, loud obnoxious partiers--then pick somewhere else. Our room was fixed lovely for our return visit. No question that we will return-- because we always do!

Booked as a short term place to hang on the mainland after diving in Cozumel. Small 2 full bed room was supposed to be Ocean front but with all the buildings in front of it that was a stretch to call it that. It was nice to be able to park the rental without having to pay for parking in...

We booked into this small hotel from New Zealand and we're delighted with our choice. Akumal is lovely, and the accommodation was great. We arrived in the evening and were greeted by Manuel at reception (who was great all week ). We'd booked into one of the smaller bungalows (rm 210) with very comfy2 double beds. It was basic but...

Spent four nights at this lovely, low key smaller hotel right on Akumal Bay. Had patio room on ground level which touched the sand and was a throw away from the water. Swaying palms, beautiful sun rises and sun sets, gorgeous view right from your small patio. Beautiful fresh water pool. Excellent beach bar with really good food and drinks...

Lots of see life just a short distance from the hotel. My wife saw turtles, fish and a large barracuda while snorkeling. Our room was clean and comfortable. The food at the nearby restaurant, Lo Ha?,was very good.
