Very peaceful and relaxing! The staff was extremely pleasant and accomadating! I really liked the chat feature which allowed me to request rides very qucikly and conveniently around the property! I enjoyed a facial and a massage at the spa which was absolutely amazing! The facial was the best I have ever had!
This was our 2nd time staying at the Four Seasons Punta Mita, and the staff did not disappoint. This is probably one of our top places to stay because of the beautiful resort, excellent food, and incredible service. We traveled as a group of 8 (5 adults and 3 children) and stayed in the Five Bedroom Invierno Villa (Villa #2046). Our Villa rental included two 4-seater golf carts to use throughout the resort. Security is taken seriously, and the staff at each gate booth check in everyone carefully. It took about 4 minutes to get from our Villa to the main lobby by golf cart. The Villa was HUGE and beautifully furnished with a luxury kitchen. We had a nice pool as well as a jacuzzi. The entire resort is beautifully landscaped, and you feel like you’re in the middle of a jungle. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning in one of the rooms, and it was addressed within minutes. The staff at the Four Seasons are the best! Prior to our trip, I had emailed various questions, and I always received detailed responses within a few hours. When they found out my oldest son had a food allergy, their Executive Chef, Jorge Gonzalez, went above and beyond to make sure their kitchen would have an allergy-free pancake/waffle recipe ready to make for him each day for breakfast. We were so touched by their willingness to do this. To welcome the children in our group, the boys were given collapsible water bottles and the girl was given a cute beach purse. As a welcome amenity to the group, we were given a bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila and an incredible assortment of chips, salsas, guacamole, pico, etc. Delicious! The beds and bedding are comfortable, and we were thrilled that they provided 2 pillows per person - 1 firm, 1 soft, so you can pick which one you prefer. You are provided L’Occitane toiletries in every bathroom. Our main housekeeper, Azucena, was fantastic. She provided extra towels and toiletries without having to ask since she could tell what we were going through more quickly. She replenished bottled waters all over the Villa and left extra for us in the kitchen pantry. (Note: you don't need to drink bottled water as the water is filtered. We drank the tap water, had ice in our drinks, and were fine.) The dining options at the resort are fantastic. We ate breakfast every morning at Dos Catrinas, which had everything you could want and more. They had fresh fruit, yogurts, a variety of breads and pastries, eggs, several breakfast meats, pancakes, waffles, 4-5 varieties of local breakfast fare, and the most incredible chilaquiles. The lunch and dinner options at all of their restaurants as well as the beach/pool service are always fresh and delicious, from the incredible nachos to the catch of the day and the carne asada. There is also a churro station with wonderful churros and toppings – a favorite of the kids. We also ordered a few groceries online from their preferred grocery delivery service, but be aware that there is a 16% tax and a 10% service charge added to the final order. A brief sample of items offered: 1) 1 lb. ground beef - $9.50 2) 1 head fresh broccoli - $1.25 3) 1 red apple - $1.00 4) 1 pack of burger buns (8) - $4.75 There are 2 beach areas – Las Cuevas Beach and Manzanillas Beach. Definitely make reservations for your beach and pool chairs when you arrive as they do book up. The beach staff bring coolers filled with chilled bottled waters as well as wonderful complimentary sample sized treats throughout the day, from frozen pineapple slices to delicious mini frozen fruit smoothies. They also have an ice cream station that comes in the afternoon by the pool area. For those who are interested in marine life, we brought our own snorkel gear and saw an interesting variety of fish just a few feet into the water, from wrasse and filefish to angelfish and the Guineafowl pufferfish. There are several complimentary activities offered at the resort every day. Adults in our group enjoyed the Mezcal Tasting as well as the Tequila Tasting events, which were both well done by the staff. If you enjoy shopping, there are onsite gift shops, carrying items such as beach attire to Mexican arts & crafts (embroidered pillow cases, jewelry, animal figurines, ceramics, etc.). They also have a small ice cream/snack shop, which had some treats and drinks. We booked airport transfers through the Four Seasons. The Puerto Vallarta (PVR) Airport is a bit chaotic with a lot of aggressive taxi drivers, so we prefer the service and security of having Four Seasons staff get us to the resort, which took about 40-45 minutes. The Four Seasons Punta Mita is a family favorite, and we’re already planning our return for Spring Break 2023. The service was the best we have ever experienced, and everyone in our family had a memorable time.…
My husband and I are here now; I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so this time, in the hopes that our experience might help others. We have been fortunate to stay in a number of 5-star Mexican resorts (One & Only, St. Regis, etc.), both with and without kids, and this is the first time that we have been completely disappointed in our choice. First of all, calling this a 5-star property is a complete misnomer. Rooms are small and dated (bathrooms are what you’d expect in a typical NYC hotel). Service is lackluster at best; we’ve had to wait for absolutely everything and flag down staff at every restaurant and bar. It seems like they’re riding the reputation of The Four Seasons name, but not at all delivering. But the thing that has stood out the most is how totally unromantic this place is. There are kids EVERYWHERE. You cannot escape it…and that’s coming from people who love to travel with our own 3 kids! We were looking forward to a rare weekend away together, and we’re now considering cutting it short and just heading home. That’s how underwhelmed we are. There are so many amazing resorts in this area and other areas of Mexico; we would never choose this one again. If you are traveling without children and wanting some R&R, I would HIGHLY suggest choosing another hotel.…
Great spot for relaxing and great food. Lots of sun and great service. I had multiple meals that I just loved at the Aramara and at Bahia. I had great sunsets each night. Our seaside room is my wifes favorite and she travels a lot all over the country.
I stayed there during a business trip, the site is beautiful and the beaches are clean. Very calm resort, great food and fun games for the kids with a game room and lazy river. We had a nice room with Kind bed and sofa bed, we travelled with our son and he was sleeping there. The room was small for 3 peoples.
We had such a wonderful experience! Everything from the initial welcome upon arrival when we were greeted so warmly and offered fresh margueritas in the lobby until we left the resort for the airport was absolutely first class. (Thanks so much to the excellent staff, especially Liz, for the top notch treatment.) Where do I start...nature trails, guided beach walk, whale watching, bird watching, sea turtle release, infinity pools, plunge pools, lazy river tubing, water aerobics, yoga, massages, excellent restaurants, dinner on "The Rock," beautiful beaches and vistas, amazing Four Seasons residence accommodations....it just doesn't get any better! Would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
Can't imagine a more enjoyable week or better vacation. Every aspect of this resort is exceptional: beautiful accommodations, incredible vistas, innumerable wonderful activities, gourmet Mexican, Asian, and steak and seafood restaurants (private dinner on "the Rock" is a special memory for life), and the best staff across the board I have ever had to pleasure to encounter. A special thanks to Liz and Julian whose courtesy, consideration, and engagement made our beach walks, water aerobics, and fishing so very enjoyable. This resort is simply a cut above and worth every cent of its premium cost. Thank you Four Seasons.
Outstanding experience! The staff were friendly, informative and sincerely interested in exceeding our service expectations. A shout out to the event/activities team...Liz and Julian particularly! The concierge(s) were outstanding...particularly Nayeli! The vistas and activities were never ending...whale watching, fishing, yoga, aerobics, hiking, walks, just to mention a few. We ate at every restaurant..every meal was wonderful and the service was expedient and professional. Our favorite meal was a catered experience on "the rock." Expensive, but worth ever penny...personal chef and servers created an unforgettable eventing for the six of us.
From the pools and beaches to the excursions and restaurants, this was by far the most wonderful hotel stay I have had in recent memory. From the moment we landed at PVR to the moment we were dropped at the airport, the FS team went above and beyond to take care of every detail of our stay. The cultural experiences available on property are unlike anything I've ever experienced at a hotel. The food was varied and always delicious. This hotel has the thoughtful details down: the pool temperatures are just right, there's a hawk on property which keeps the birds away form the pool areas, the chef is available to organize a meal around the fresh catch of the day for you, and the grounds are absolutely exquisite. I had above and beyond a 5-star experience my entire stay.
One of the best resorts we’ve stayed at. It’s a gorgeous property and staff are phenomenal. Our rooms were comfortable and the views unparalleled. I wish we could find a housekeeper as detail oriented as the ones staffed at Four Seasons back home. There are multiple pools warmed perfectly with gorgeous views. The lazy river was pleasant and we spent hours by it. The gym is spacious and has updated equipment. There are three restaurants on site and our favorite was Bahía. Staff are attentive and helpful. The Four Seasons app came in handy every day and it was easy to order room service and get recommendations for activities.
