Perched on the ocean in the heart of one of Mexico's most gorgeous beaches, 10 minutes from Marina La Cruz, W Punta de Mita invites you to immerse yourself in a truly remarkable hotel experience. Our boutique Punta de Mita resort pays homage to the area's profound cultural history. Here, Colonial grandeur blends seamlessly with the extraordinary artistry of the indigenous Huichol peoples. These elements exist in harmony with a very modern sensibility that extends throughout the resort, setting the stage for an unforgettable visit. Light-filled rooms and suites provide a sophisticated oasis on the shores of the Pacific. Laze on a lounge chair at WET Pool and Deck as you enjoy a cool ceviche, or indulge in some "me time" at Away Spa. Celebrate the sensuality of South Asian cuisine at Spice Market, Jean-Georges Vongerichten's imaginative restaurant concept. Let our concierge help you book an exciting excursion - or slip away to the beach and enjoy the fine art of doing nothing.

I know W hotels from many business travels. Punta Mita is one of my favorite spots near Puerto Vallarta. Hotel design is nice, not big not small just perfect for a weekend out. Service is on average and despite the high quality of the hotel felt better service overall at Iberostar hotel near by. Facilities really cool and the best is to walk a few meters from hotel to enjoy a really good beach for kids. Very safe and clean. Restaurant offer looks limited to me on a Sunday evening with just the Mexican buffet and the Asian. We need more options. Overall great stay but I will recommend to improve pool service and dining offer.

Puerto Vallarta: the playground of the rich and famous in this part of the world. Picture blonde, suntanned, and drop-dead thingies stretched out in rows upon rows on unending sandy beaches… while hotel service folks ply them with food and drink in unflagging streams. Well, this wasn’t it..!! (But pretty close.) We bought a flight+hotel package out of Mexico City to this west coast beach resort, and the hotel was their choice: but it wasn’t bad as hotels go. Initially, there was some confusion on our booking, as we seemed to be headed to a much better property, but it was our mistake. (….got quickly sorted out with a phone call at arrival on the wrong property.) This property, though, is gorgeous… so I wasn’t complaining. One arrives at the entrance off a long driveway off the highway, past a huge “W” sign that we somehow failed to see at first, down a densely forested hillside road, to an entrance gatehouse where you are separated from your car, and driven down by electric buggy to the reception building, and thence to your cabin. There is a central building, with restaurants, offices and miscellaneous facilities, which forms the spine of the resort, running down a hill towards a pool and thence onto a beautifully sandy, shallow beach. Idyllic. And then to each side of this central space, there are rooms and cabins scattered across the hillside, around a central garden / water pools / lawn that is used for weddings, parties and other functions (there seemed to be some kind of seminar on the day we arrived…) stepping down in a series of levels from the upper hillsides to the beach below. The rooms are spectacular: each separate unit is beautifully designed. The units are arranged as a stand-alone space, with a central bed, behind which is a fully glass-enclosed bathroom space. The bath has screens for visual privacy in the night, but one can’t see into them from the outside in the daylight hours ~ just basic physics !! On the side opposite the bed, the unit opens onto a balcony overlooking a forested thicket: this is the Spectacular Jungle Escape cabin, and one quite feels like in the middle of the jungle here. The property has concrete walkways connecting all the public spaces and private units, and leading down to the beach. To get outside the resort, one has only to ask for the buggy to be taken up to where cars are parked, at the entrance gate. Its all very well organized and well planned. The staff are very polite, and take great care to dim the lights on their buggies if they are approaching you in the dark. Nice care and attention to detail. Thank you. Well worth the visit, and as part of the price of the air ticket from Mexico City, this was a bargain not to be missed.

during this tough time of Covid 19 me and my partner are stuck here in Mexico until I am not sure when. We decided to change it up a bit and called to see if the W hotel is open they said “yes were open and fully functioning except some changes in restaurant hours”. After waiting 20 mins for someone from front desk to arrive I checked in. No offer of upgrade even though I am platinum Amex holder and this part of Hotel Collection. I asked her for upgrade “she said you booked the second highest category of room and we don’t upgrade to our highest” she went to go talk to who ever was standing there and said in Spanish “they want an upgrade and rolled her eyes and proceeded to say we look so cheap and desperate and probably can’t afford to be here should we just give it to them” they agreed and she said “this is a one time thing so don’t ever expect this again” 😂 It says a lot about what kind of company this is when we are in a pandemic and there are 8 guests in the entire hotel and they don’t want to give everyone the best experience because of company policy! Upgrade the 8 people because nobody is coming!!!!!! That was my problem with the staff the other 4 people working at the enormous resort were really great. Here’s the break down I payed $600 a night Room dirty, bloody sheets, broken bed, no mattress cover, long hair and dirt all over the floors l, missing all decorations no hot water (for only one night they ended up fixing it with in a couple of hours) no glasses in the room, but literally broken and filthy like filthy disgusting. Restraunts 1 of 4 restaurants were open limited menu almost everything listed was not available. With that being said food was good and they accommodated special requests. Restaurant staff were awesome!!! SPA - Closed Gym - Limited Hours Adult Pool - Closed Beach Bar Limited Hours Food and Drink Service Limited Yoga - Closed Daily Fitness Schedule Closed Hydrothermal Pools - Closed Bike/Scooters - Unavailable Daily Activities Closed Nightly Events - Closed Boutique - Closed Business Center - Closed Bar/Lounge - Closed Complimentary Lobby Coffee Bar - Closed In room Coffee & Tea - No tea No milk no coffee cups only paper cups (btw a side of steamed almond milk was $10) Breakfast Buffet - Closed (it would be gross if open) Radio or Speaker No Basically you get it everything is closed and they are still charging $600 a night with no apologies Do not come here not worth the headache and $$$$ even on their best day it’s an average horribly decorated tacky hotel in a bad location. Head to Four Seasons or St Regis at least there you get what you pay for.

We had a great experience at the W. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The hotel, beach and grounds are beautiful. The water is perfect for boogie boarding and body surfing. The food is great and room service is very prompt if you want to do that. We were upgraded and loved our room and the view. The pool areas are well thought out and relaxing. The gym is clean and well equipped. Really we have nothing but good things to say.

It was a 3 nights trip, and I would like to stay more ¡¡ the hotel is so beautiful, the restaurants delicious, maybe I miss something more casual for dinner, a pizza or pasta, but everything we eat was really good, the staff very friendly, the guys that attend the beach very kind and helpfull, maybe it is a hotel for young people or middle age, I will not recommend too much for kids, but everything else.... great the beach is one of the best in all Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta
