This place really is beautiful, and the people are very nice and helpful. What surprised me most is that based on the web site, I thought that the resort was out in the countryside. It is not. It is more in the city than the countryside, and right next to a very heavy traffic road, and the sounds of trucks...

There are few places that meet the perfect combination of trying to do everything well, and then actually accomplishing it ... such is the case with the Rancho San Cayetano. Don Pablo, his lovely wife, Lisette, and son, Marcos, are hosts with the most! From groomed grounds, great rooms, splendid meals and attention to every detail, Rancho San Cayetano is...

We stayed at Rancho San Cayetano on a group trip to visit the monarch butterfly sanctuaries. You could not find a better place than this. Grounds are stunning, restaurant is outstanding and Pablo and his staff are amazing. Rooms are very clean and large, every day the fireplace is freshly laid, ready for a match to be struck.

Beautiful and comfortable, Rancho San Cayetano is perfect for relaxation and contemplation. This was my third stay here over the years, but the first that was timed to visit the nearby Monarch butterfly sanctuary. More spectacular than I could have imagined. And, of course, the food at the hotel is delicious, from breakfast to dinner, whether eating outside on the...

This was a perfect place to stay while visiting the butterfly reserves (which are still at least an hour+ away). The grounds are very, very lovely. It is a very relaxing and peaceful place amongst the flowers and birds. Our accommodations were outstanding and very comfortable. Dinners were excellent. The owners are involved in all aspects of the operation and...

This charming rustic hotel is the perfect location to explore the monarch butterfly migrations. The owners are perfect hosts: very friendly and welcoming. There are some beautiful grounds with plenty of seating areas to enjoy the views. The rooms are large with amazing fireplaces to be used in winter. They also provide free water and coffee in the rooms. The...

We've visited Hotel Rancho San Cayetano many times since 8 years ago. The owners keep the place in great conditions, the staff is very helpful and nice. The restaurant food delicious. And best of all pet friendly. Highly recommended for a restful weekend and very close from Mexico City.

Beautiful, extensive grounds, terrific, comfortable rooms, and delicious fine French Cuisine. Lisette is a master and great attention is made to the food. Service and staff were attentive but unobtrusive. There are three absolutely lovely big dogs that roam about and who love attention from those who need a dog-fix! Owner Pablo is a decidedly gracious man and a dedicated...

We stayed two nights here as part of a visit to El Rosario Butterfly Reserve. The hotel made all the arrangements for our butterfly tour, which was fantastic, including driver, horses and a box lunch. The hotel has gorgeous accommodations spread around beautiful grounds. We had a beautifully decorated two BR apt., one bedroom downstairs the other in the loft....
