The hotel was a bit run down but it is very close to the Mayan Pyramids. The room was quite large and the bed was relatively comfortable. The hot water in the shower was sporadic. There is no lift so it is a struggle getting up the stairs if you have heavy bags. The staff will assist. The wifi in the foyer is slow. It is a short walk into town to some great restaurants.

The hotel is nice, if you want to visit the ruins without staying in D.F., and you want a reasonably priced hotel. It is not too pricey, and it is mostly clean. There are beers and sodas available for purchase in the lobby and there is a coffee machine. It's close to one little restaurant and another delivers. It is on the highway though and the cars are loud. There is NO NATURAL LIGHT in the rooms. Which is depressing! I asked to switch from the 3rd floor to the 2nd because the wifi was not working on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately the 2nd floor room had even less light. Woha, I didn't even think that was possible lol. It is a 1.5km walk to the ruins or you can take a taxi. There is parking, but I arrived via taxi.

I enjoyed a very pleasant night at this hotel. I was traveling solo and they didn't have one of the solo rooms available, so they gave me a bigger room at a good price. It was very clean and quiet. I was able to walk to the pyramids from the hotel, but it is a hike. May be better to take taxi if staying awhile at the ruins. It was nice going early in the morning. The town of San Juan is within easy walking distance with many nice restaurants.

The Posada Sol y Luna is very convenient to the ruins (only about a 15 minute walk away), and is a comfortable place to stay. The hotel management was helpful, parking is secure, and the hotel couldn't be cleaner. You can "do" the ruins as a day trip from Mexico City, but it's nice to go to the ruins early before the crowds arrive and the day heats up. By arriving at the ruins before 8am, we discovered that hot air balloons buzz the Pyramid of the Sun at dawn! Made for some great photos.

I found this place online and gave it a chance. It was clean, comfy and only $60 for a night. Which included a simple breakfast. It was very close to the pyramid site and we found it to be a great value. Most people stay in Mexico City and take a bus into Teotihuacan for the day. I recommend staying at the Posada Sol y Luna and enjoy a relaxing time near the pyramids.
