La Paloma is a lovely B&B in Ajijic, Mexico. The owners provide a very relaxed atmosphere so that it feels like a home away from home. The breakfasts are delicious with a different menu for each day of the week. The swimming pool is more than just a dipping pool and there is a wonderful resident dog, called Carlos.

We had a good sized room off the courtyard. Our room adjoined the spacious central lounge overlooking the pool. We enjoyed chating in a relaxed setting other guests. Don and Diane were very friendly and helpful in making our stay comfortable and trouble free. Charming setting in a great central location. Ideally situated to stroll the streets and soak up...

La Paloma is a lovely B & B in a lovely city. Breakfasts were excellent. The outdoor swimming pool was long enough for swimming laps - what a pleasure in the afternoon sun. But best of all were our hosts, Don and Diane. They went above and beyond anything we have experienced in responding to medical needs which arose during...

THIS B&B is located in central Ajijic on Lake Chapala, within easy walking distance of many good restaurants as well as shopping. The present Managers, Don and Diane, cannot do enough for you and are available 24 hours a day should you need any assistance. (We felt like family.) The facility is roomy with lots of sitting areas inside and...

Had a delighful fun time with wonderful new people who made everyone feel safe and at home. Great staff. Wonderful breakfasts. Very generous...

I was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. They offered me offstreet parking that was secure which is important to me when I am trravelling. The grounds and pool were clean and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this B&B and I would return .

The hosts are gracious American Expats. We arrived at about 8 a.m. and Don personally cleaned a room for us to rest in until our room was available. We had taken a red eye from San Francisco and the maid didn't arrive until 10. There is a separate complete kitchen available to all guests to prepare snacks or full meals...

I think it was the hospitality more than any thing else from Don that I appreciated. Diane organized a bi-lingual and very nice driver to pick me up from the airport, which was extremely comforting being my first time to Mexico. The breakfasts were amazing wich chilis peppers, eggs and avocados prepared different ways every morning. Fresh juice and fruit...

“the rating is based upon the price point of this b&b. rooms are basic, pleasent, homey, but not luxury. the pool is an extra asset. there are different rooms to choose from. i stayed in the $89 room. in all honesty there were only 2 other guests, the entire house was quiet.”
