We stayed at the Victoria for a week. It is walking to all the places you want to visit in Ajijic. Many great restaurants nearby. We cooked several meals in our room. The kitchen was very adequate and the grocery store is only a few blocks away. Colin is a wonderful host and very accommodating to any request. We highly recommend The Victoria.
After leaving the airport I called the Hotel and Colin answered . He had a big beautiful room for me at an excellent price . On arrival he was there and carried my luggage into the hotel . He set me up with a big room with a big bath. The location is perfect . I wouldn't hesitate going back again . Excellent price for a beautiful room,
The Victoria is ideally located in central Ajijic. Hotel is comfortable and clean; moreover the service is without parallel. A casual and homelike atmosphere with owner/ host Colon offering useful information related to the town and its surroundings. Overall a great value as well!
My husband and I have had month long stays at Hotel Victoria in 2019, and this year in March 2020. The host's, Rob and Colin are amazing. The hotel is located within walking distance to everything. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and we love our rooftop room, with the most amazing views!! It was a bonus when we discovered the hotel offered tours. We knew we were offered very good rates, as well as peace of mind, knowing we were in safe hands. In 2019, we went on the tequila tour. What a great experience to tour , and find out how tequila is made, as well as tasting many varieties. This year we were so thrilled to find out they were offering a tour to Mazatlan, a place we had never been. It was four nights, with an amazing hotel that overlooked the ocean, and our bonus was the rooftop pool, complete with a bartender who brought us fabulous margaritas. We took a boat over to Stone Island where we enjoyed a beautiful beach, and a great restaurant. We went to the Golden Zone where there was great shopping and restaurants. I completely fell in love with this somewhat hidden gem. The bus was very comfortable, and they made stops all along the way. I would highly recommend this tour, and we were pleasantly surprised at the price. Thank-you so much for our great stays, and we really look forward to seeing you all next year!! Cheers!…
I just spent two weeks at The Victoria, first time in Ajijic, and could not have asked for a better place to stay or a better host. Colin, the owner, with his wonderful dog Margarita, create a sense of family on the property so that I never really felt alone. He and the other guests were lovely as were the accommodations and the wonderful breakfasts he prepares daily. The location is perfect with easy walking distance to the Plaza in the center of town---wear comfortable walking shoes to navigate the cobblestone streets! It is also very close to nearby restaurants, a grocery store, a bank and to the weekly Wednesday market. Ajicic is a magical place full of warm and wonderful people and Colin epitomizes the best of Ajicic, He does all that he can to make his guests feel welcome and happy. …
Oh my. We just love it here. Robert and Collin have done a beautiful job renovating this adorable hotel. Beautiful rooms, good prices. The entryway is so well furnished and you can buy some of the treasures, which are priced to sell. Breakfast is wonderful and so inexpensive (included with a stay), with fresh coffee, freshly baked bread, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, and a full breakfast. The jam was excellent. It is close to the Carretera, close to the Wednesday Farmers Market, yet very private and cozy. If you are very lucky, you will meet Margarita, the adorable and well behaved hotel dog. Run, do not walk, to this gem. Relax. Stay a while.
The moment you enter Colin does everything in his power to make sure you feel right at home, the accommodations are beautiful. He offered us a little mini-tour showed us around town pointing out the best places to eat, Beautiful furnishing throughout and a hot tub outside to watch the stars at night just a beautiful setting. We left Bucerias Mexico for the week to get out of the heat. This Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful retreat would go again and again. Thank you Colin for making this trip such a delight.
I decided to take a solo off the beaten path type of trip to Mexico. I stayed at the Victoria Ajijic for 5 nights and had such a great stay. The hotel was very clean and stylishly decorated. The owner Colin helped me get around town and gave great recommendations where to eat and visit in the neighbourhood and surrounding areas. Also, they have a very secluded terrace area in the back where you can eat and has an outdoor kitchen and jacuzzi. Colin also had invited me to join for breakfast and some beverages. I highly recommend this place if you are travelling in the Ajijic area! Thanks again Colin for a wonderful experience!
I have not stayed at the hotel, but I have been there for their happy hours and for special events they have on Sunday afternoons. Colin and Robert look after all of the details to ensure an enjoyable time. They host a variety of different musical acts on many Sundays, and they limit the seating to around 30 people which makes for a great venue!
We discovered The Victoria just as it was opening in Feb-2018 and rushed to make our reservation for Feb-2019. We’re so glad we did. The rooms are lovely and the location is terrific - easily walkable to anywhere in Ajijic. Because many guests stay for a month (or longer), morning breakfast on the patio easily becomes a social spot to meet wonderful people and make new friends. We like this place so much we have already made our reservations for 2020 and 2021. .
