We drove to Guerrero Negro and lost reception for hours. We ended up getting two flat tires and got stranded on the road. I finally got cell phone service and contacted the hotel. They told me that since I didn't tell them that we would...More
We were lucky to get the “Apartment” which was way more space than we needed. Full kitchen (didn’t cook! I’m on vacation!) but nice to have wine glasses and coffee mugs. Great dining room table to play cards with our friends, large living room with...More
Guerrero Negro is a working town, not a tourist destination other than for whale watchers during breeding season. However it's the last "full service" community for almost 400 miles heading north to Ensenda.

Wonderful, you will be experiencing one of he most impressive moments I ever had, no only whale watching but interacting with whales, hey they are mammals, they have social behavior and yes they are BIG. I agree with previous answer Terrasal hotel is probably the best there is in the area for a small gruop, not expensive and restaurant is ok. Look for a good tour guide, I will recommend also use imornings for such activity and help yourself with sun protection, if you get sea sick easily use dimedrinato (Dramamine).
Also don't forget to visit Salinera (where salt is being produced) and a quick visit to see the Berrendo reserve (kind of American Antilope).
