By now, you know I'm a business traveler, for the most part, but, once in a while I come across a place where I want to comeback with family or friends, that's Malarrimo. Very well located, good restaurant, rooms with or without AC, your choice, good wifi and great service.

Went down to Guerrero Negro with the family for whale watching and stayed at this hotel. It was well recommended as the best place in town. After walking around the town based on the other places I saw I would confirm this. It has been here for a while and is a bit rustic in a nice way. The place... More

Yes, a little dated but secure and clean with decent (most of the time) beds. The restaurant is one of the best in central Baja, just be sure to ask the waiter what seafood is fresh. Breakfasts are also good.

We had reservations for 2 rooms and when we arrived the motel clerk had everything in order. The rooms, while not the most spacious, were clean and comfortable. We were there, afterall, not to stay in the room, but to see the whales and other local sites! There is a very nice outdoor patio area where you can visit and... More

The room was way too small for 3 people. I had to crawl on my knees to get into bed. We asked for a wake-up call that never came. Thank God that was our back up. We asked that they leave the room untouched. They did not. We had medical equipment in so we did not want it cleaned, it... More

We had 10 in our group, 8 stayed in the motel and 1 couple stayed in the RV park. The head motel clerk seemed challenged and scattered when it came to who was in which room. Eventually we all received rooms and beds. The rooms were clean and spacious. The showers and Banos were good as well. The cost for... More

Crowded room, TV the size of a computer, not enough water pressure for a shower, HARD bed. Food in restaurant was good, but the waiters kept screwing the orders up. Brought wrong items, or things we didn't order.

Malarrimo could use some serious updating. However, the room rates are very reasonable and it is very clean. The staff have all worked their a long time and are very trustworthy. Because rooms were added at different times, they are not all the same size. Some of them are very small and some are generously sized. I would stay there... More

I first stayed at Malarrimo about 15 years ago on a whale watching trip to nearby Scammon's Lagoon. On my most recent stay, I found Malarrimo to be clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The restaurant and bar are about as nice as you'll find in the hard-scrabble salt town of Guerrero... More

I have been staying here since 2001 whenever I can on my rides through the Peninsula Saul is my favorite waiter. The food is always good, some have complained about the service, I have never had a problem, but then they know me pretty well. There are many new places to stay but this is still my sentimental favorite. Room... More
