The motel is what I would expect from a road side motel in the middle of nowhere. The lake is beautiful and I can see great potential, but the location is just so far out. The motel does provide wifi, and the rooms are large. The bed was not very comfortable, and only one pillow per person. My recommendation is... More

Room was clean, beds were hard. No air conditioning and could not leave the window open because people were smoking right outside the door. Even if they weren't it is really dusty there. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. It was ok, but servings were skimpy. Staff was very nice, but service was poor.

We stopped here on our trip south from Alaska to Washington state. This was our first overnight after leaving Anchorage somewhat late in the day. The beds were amazing and the shower was hot with fairly decent water pressure. They offered a great rate, which as we all know can sometimes be difficult to find on the ALCAN.

This hotel was pretty decent. We stayed there on our drive my Alaska to SoCal. It had nice beds and a good shower. It got a little chilly in the room for our taste (it was -15 F out) and couldn't adjust the heat. Had breakfast at the restaurant and it was just ok, can't blame them though, hard to... More

Arrived later at night just before the sun went down. The room was nice. Comfy beds. Pretty modern room. Quiet place. The resteraunt and lounge is understaffed. So getting food took a bit of time but food was fine. Take a walk down to the lake it's a really nice view and big lake.

Had to stop to get a tire repaired after coming down from Beaver Creek. It was a nice place to stop and regroup for the next leg of the trip. Just had lunch nothing special but the staff was warm and friendly.

Located in Destruction Bay, Yukon on the Alaska Highway. Quite remote, but the only game in town when you are staying in campgrounds nearby. We only ate in the pub side of the restaurant as we were tenting in the commercial campground. We had the special of the day which was lasagne with zucchini and feta. It came with a... More

We were a large group and had a reservation ahead of time as you don't have many options for hundreds of miles or km. We had a spacious room and wifi, it was handy to have the gas station right there and I noticed a coin op laundry on site. Our dinner was the main show however with the waitress... More

We've driven by Talbot Arm many times on our way to camp at Kluane Lake and Haines. On this trip we didn't have our camper so decided to stay in route to the Lower 48. Frankly, from the looks of the hotel from the parking lot, we hadn't expected much, but the room was very clean and comfortable AND we... More

My wife and I stopped for breakfast at Talbot Arm. It was wonderful!! We spent the night in Haines Junction and didn't have a great dinner. So we decided to stop for breakfast. We each had their omelets, which were very good and made with three eggs. The toast and home fires were very good, too. Service was very good,... More
