Lynda and Jay are incredible hosts who have truly captured the essence of the B&B (gite) experience. The rooms and home were clean, comfortable and each has its own en suite bathroom. The breakfasts are delicious and have local produce and ingredients used. They were so delicious and varied. Lynda will also accommodate any dietary needs you may have. I happened to travel alone and being able to ask Lynda questions about the area, restaurants, other villages, activities and things to do, etc., was invaluable. She knows everything about the area. She speaks both English and French completley fluently! The location of this wonderful B&B is within walking distance to just about everything in Sutton. I ate my way through the town but kept in shape walking and discovering the area. What a beautiful and memorable experience. I wouldn't consider staying anyhere else when I return to Sutton! There is no reason to stay anywhere else when this B&B has everything you could possible want! Excellent! Thank you Lynda and Jay! …
Thanks Lynda and Jay for a really great stay in your home. You were both welcoming to us. The house has a great history and is well maintained and decorated. Our room was lovely. It was a good place to relax after some vigorous cycling around Sutton. The breakfasts were amazing with a nice variety of options. Linda gave helpful tips on what to see and do and was always a friendly face to talk to. Thanks for the tip on making the effort to speak French even if we are not very good at it. It was a connective experience and people were appreciative. We loved breakfasting on the porch. We would highly recommend your B&B to any visitors to Sutton.
According to an article I have read recently the B&B format tend to disappear in the hospitality business. This is really unfortunate because the B&Bs are what traveling is all about: meeting people. We just spent the week-end at B&B Vert Le Mont and we enjoyed every minute starting from the warmhearted greeting of the owners to the comfort of the bedroom and the bed, the delicious breakfast served on the porch, the proximity to the main road with full of restaurants choices and the availability of Lynda to ensure not only a great stay in her gorgeous house but in the region. So if you pass by Sutton and wish to stay overnight, don’t hesitate to stop at B&B Vert Le Mont.
Within easy walking distance of charming "downtown" Sutton, Vert Le Mont is a lovely stopover or extended stay for Eastern Township travelers. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed, and free wi-fi is always appreciated. Charm galore. Good breakfast. The owner, Lynda, is a real gem and an enthusiast of all things Eastern Township, a transplanted Brit and a real go-to for anything of interest or note in the area. Highly recommended.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced B&B, look no farther. Lisa & Roy are gracious upon your arrival and also serve a scrumptious breakfast, fresh from their kitchen. The two mornings that we were there, we were given choices spanning from fruit compote, eggs with sausage & bacon, toast and marmalade or jam, and salmon with capers, cream cheese and toasted bagels. And, of course, coffee or tea were served as well. Our room included a small b.r., complete with toilet and tiled shower, a side sink, 2 chairs, a cabinet for storage, and, a double bed. Other visitors were respectful and quiet during our stay. Besides the wrap-around porch, you can park on the premises and take a promenade into the town of Sutton.
